Pretty creative idea for a game. I thought it was well executed with good voice acting and cool pictures that are nostalgic for 1999. The web version was kinda laggy so I downloaded it and the game crashed like halfway through lol, am playing on linux, most games in the jam worked great, hard to say if it was that. Nice game!

Developer

Hey! Thanks for playing and for the comment. The optimization in this game is not the best, have no idea what could be the reason of the crash tho. It would be smart to export versions for other platforms as well.

Really unique game! Some of the hitboxes made i hard to grab the person I wanted but this looks like it was a lot of fun to put together!

Developer

Thanks for playing! The vibe was definetely the most important thing we were going for so the technical side is a bit off. But either way glad you enjoyed th game :)

Cool concept of piecing the story together through photographs! I do miss subtitles though, I'm pretty bad at tracking names to match with the voices.

Developer

Thanks for playing! The subtitiles are a repeating topic, after the jam we will add them :>

That is a great idea! Unfortunately like not a native speaker, without subtitles i didn't get full story correctly

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing! You are right, subtitles would be a very handy accesibility addition :P

Lovely game! I really enjoyed listening to the narrative and the audio design was peak, which made the whole thing go together really seamlessly. The main mechanic of moving pieces to the right spot was also very cute and fit well into the story. Unfortunately a couple of the later cutouts are scaled/positioned wrong it, but otherwise everything worked well. Really great job :)

Hey! Thanks for playing : regardless of these issues >

A game like this should have subtitles (not just for hearing impaired, but for anyone without sound). Or, if the story isn't that important, it should have fast forward button as well. Also, some cutouts doesn't match to their places exactly, the story continues when the cutouts snap to odd places.

Developer

Hey, thanks for the comment. The story is obviously important, it should have subtitles for better understanding of what's said, that's for sure, but playing it without voice is just pointless since it's a sound novel. Unfortunately we couldn't resolve all the issues with buggy cutouts in time 😩✊ Hope you enjoyed the experience either way.

The audio work was phenomenal. Really felt like I was there and just taking in the sounds naturally. Great work!

Developer

Hey! Thanks for playing. I'm really happy that you have enjoyed the sound :3

What a great idea for the theme, I enjoyed everything, though the flash in the first photo was a bit dazzling :)

Developer

True, the flash really makes you blink haha thanks for playing!
