How does your game fit the theme?
You fight numbers by counting them down to zero. The battle system is also driven by countdowns (enemies attack on a timer and your actinos refresh on a timer)

Very creative game with an incredibly nostalgic vibe, from the music and the crunchy sound to the very saturated colors and ofc the sock puppets themselves. It literally felt like being a child again, watching one of those kind of cursed cartoons on the television or even some of that edutainment that was popular at the time.

The gameplay itself was a fun idea. I don't particularly enjoy doing math in my head, but i suppose that just makes me an even bigger target of Count von Puppet's evil plan D: I agree with other commenters that being able to pick a number first would make the flow of the game feel a lot better. I kept trying to pick a number first, only to be confused that it disappeared once i clicked the operation card i wanted. Other than that, it felt very polished!

I can certainly say that I was never threatened by a sock puppet...until now. Took a while to get a hang of it but it's a neat idea with great puppet theater!

This game is so funny and goofy and I love it !

Voice acted puppet is WILD. Loved the game, didn't know at first what was going on but pretty fun once i got the hang of it!

I LOVE THIS GAME. The style and everything is just amazing lol. Simple concept but fun execution made even better with the sock puppets and voicelines. My only gripe is that when I lost the box that popped up blocked my rounds but I think I got to like round 80. Super satisfying to delete 9999 with just a mod 1!

the line "I eat children, and im not afraid to say it!" was really relatable for me especially as its something i feel too some days so i gotta respect the hustle

holy shit this is the best piece of art i have ever seen in my life i peed myslef while eating children like the narrator said. the socks were so funny i had nothing to do but respect the hustle i mean you are worthy of being the first place in the GMTK 2026 game jam AND in the front steam page. waiting for full release and DLC urgently. PLS make sure you rate my game it cant come close to yours but you gotta respect the hustle.

This game was so addictive that it made me late to my doctor's appointment. (Not even joking lol. I totally lost track of time.) Who needs modern medicine when you've got Count Von Puppet? I want a Calculus version with integrals and trig functions asap!

BTW, I recommend to players that they take the time to learn the interface. Once you figure out what you're supposed to do, it's a ton of fun. (Also please tell me if you get past level 61. I've tried multiple times and have given up hope.)

Thanks for playing! I have a feeling that Count von Puppet would agree that he is better than medicine.

Also definitely agree that more advanced math operations would be a great addition (pun intended) to the game (I was very close to adding sine at least, but it got cut for time).

I'm glad I have Count von Puppet's approval!

It's... beautiful...

only issue I had is sometimes a new card would get added while i'm clicking on an old one and it would do the wrong card.

I LOVE the artstyle of the game

i would kinda prefer a turn based system to the time based one. it could also be more clear how you’re supposed to kill the enemy because i had to read the description to figure it out

There really aren't enough sock puppets in video games, and for that I applaud you. Took me a few runs and a read through of the comments below to actually figure out what I was supposed to be doing though.

i LOVE the characters and voices and sounds, they all come together so well! i think it's a little confusing that you need to click the enemies, but the game is still super cool and one of my favorites so far :)

This is wonderful! I never knew I needed crunchy sock puppet sprites to play a math deckbuilder but here we are. I think a little more instruction would be helpful to understand how to play. Also not sure why I have to click on operation first when all calculations are just two numbers? I think I should be able to click the numbers and operations in the order from left to right like 3, then minus, then 2 to do 3-2 for instance.

(Obligatory 6 7 (this is the last wave I reached before the cards gave me doodoo))

Thanks! I agree that there should be a proper tutorial with more instructions, but the puppet animations took higher priority (worth it).

Also don’t know why it didn’t occur to me that picking a number before an operation would make more sense, but you and many others are definitely right that it makes more sense that way.

A really fun game! It was hard to understand, but thanks to a comment that taught me to play lol

Really creative game. I love the high-effort visuals. It took me a while to fully understand how to play. Specifically, it wasn't super clear that I could, (and usually have to) click on the enemy number in front of me to add it to my calculation. But once I figured that out I had a good time playing a few rounds. Nice work
