End life plan
Initially we plan to keep the game available on Itch. After the jam, we will likely host both a web-playable and downloadable version of the game on our own site decoupled from Itch. We may explore the option of sharing source, but need to double check licensing for some assets that were used.
Transparency note
AI was used to generate a simple prototype to validate our game idea before fully committing to implementing by hand.
All assets were either available free to use, edited by us, or hand-crafted by a member of our team.

I like mahjong even though I'm really bad at it; now with bombs, I'm even worse! It's a great mahjong game—pretty fun! :D
Thanks! Yeah I've had some really unlucky runs back to back lol
It's Mahjong. 😱
... With bombs! Thanks for playing!
This was very enjoyable. Even though I didn't really understand how to play (because I suck at any type's of games like these) I really enjoyed the music and the assets were very nice. Congrats on the making of this game!
Thanks, really glad to hear people are vibing with the audio!
Pretty clear concept with lovely BGM in it. That audio is just vibing in my mind. The only feedback for the game I could share might be on the onboarding section. It could be more forgiving for a newcomer to the concept of "Mahjong".
Nice Jam entry, well done guys!
Thank you! You're right with the tutorial, that's on me.
As a mahjong fan, this is really fun!
Oh wow! I really am horrible at this, but by golly did I enjoy it. I love Jam games with original music, massive props there. The music really is the star of the show, no matter how long I played I swear there came yet another section or variation that I hadn't heard yet. I was blown away when the one with the full drum beat kicked in. Really nice approach to having a short music loop while still having it change throughout. I'm guessing it's a bunch of shorter sound files that are randomly selected to play when the previous one ends? It works really well.
A peek behind the curtain. No, it's actually mixed with code based on number of tiles drawn. If you sit on the first deal, it'll never do the drum beat part (Also my favorite part). Kappa's the genius behind the music though, so give him all the credit.
Concept is clear, all good. Only note: swap the default fonts for something with more character at some point and this'll look insane.
Yeah, totally. There was a bunch of look and feel stuff that we meant to do, but real life gets in the way right?
