WOW this game is good. You managed to wring a lot of both puzzles AND mechanics out of the concept you came up with here, and the actual puzzles themselves feel really cohesive - Despite what I feared this concept would become, I never felt like I was throwing random numbers at the wall and seeing what sticked. Pretty much every puzzle solution felt like a result of logically thinking through the mechanics & calculating the solution, without feeling too simple (Plenty of "aha moments" as mark would put it). Once I was able to move the enemies around, that was when I knew this one had the sauce.
I don't think there's much that can be improved on here. Just make more stuff please, you clearly know what you're doing. See you in the top 100.
Such a good implementation of the countdown theme, amazing job! Although the game would really benefit from a skip button at the end of the stage (or a fast forward mode).
Oh gotcha, I totally missed that you could hold Z to fast forward.
When I mentioned skipping, I just meant skipping the end-level counting sequence entirely once the puzzle is properly solved. It'd be nice to just jump straight to the next stage, Kind of like in Angry Birds, as soon as you kill the last pig, a skip button pops up so you don't have to sit there at the mercy of the physics engine waiting for the last bird to stop moving to proceed to the end screen.
But honestly, the fast-forward button basically solves that issue anyway. Thanks for the heads up and the reply.
super unique and challenging game! takes a while to get the hang of, but once you solve the puzzle, its super satisfying. keep it up! :)
Complexity through simplicity, the best kinds of puzzle
I struggled, then got addicted, then figured it out, then felt omniscient, then 2 levels later it ended. In that order!
I had more fun with this than I would have expected, so simple but so much fun. I think there is some work that maybe can be done with the difficulty curve, but I did eventually start recognizing patterns that gave me a real edge towards the end. Levels 17 and 18 I got on my first try and 19 in 2, whereas the mid levels prior I felt I was just throwing together random combos.
Overall wonderful game that I'm sure puzzle lovers will die for. Make a bunch more levels, throw it on steam and drive off into the horizon :)
The art is immaculate, both the sprite animation and the UI. I love how you managed to fit all the important info without making it too cumbersome. Like other players i had a bit of a struggle with the keys… having space both for moving around and increasing numbers means you need to do very quick presses for it to register otherwise the corners turn yellow and the game thinks you want to move the (albeit very cute) clock. I feel having a mouse control would be much smoother. I really hope we’ll see a post jam release because i would love to come back to play again ! cheers !
Ooh! Maybe that's it and I just need to increase the range for holding by a couple of frames ^^''' , it always sounded to me like input was being eaten so I thought it was bugged. Noted, thanks for putting it into words and more importantly thanks for playing!
Definitely interested in a post jam release, if anything to add music and complete the package.
i love the little clocks. they are so cute when they waddle in at the start of each puzzle and squish as the playhead scrolls over them :D but other than that, i think this is such a cool little puzzle game!! neat interpretation of the theme, and the gameplay and visuals feel polished. took me a second to get the hang of those + and - clocks haha. i guess my one thing is that it would be cool if there were some groovy tunes to listen to in game :DDD
These little guys are adorable, and each of the levels with new functionality were super fun to solve. Nice Job (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
Where can I get one of those cute clock!? Adorable! I didn't get why you chose the keyboard over the mouse. It would be much easier to play with mouse. Don't you think?
I liked the game and its difficulty, found myself struggling way more than i should've.
