I couln't figure out the strategy to beat the All Seer, but a really nice take on the theme. Feels very much like a complete game with the visuals, sound and story.

Quite the undertaking for a game jam. The art work is great and everything felt very polished. Definitely a good foundation for a bigger game!

Cool concept of having the boss approaching with each step. I like the retro art of the asset pack you used.  It was cool to explore the environment and seeing what kinds of enemies and items I could find. I never did find out what's in that staircase the spiders are guarding but I'm considering coming back later and trying the game again to find out.

I did encounter an issue where I fought the slime and we got into an endless battle of me blocking and him healing, so the battle never progressed or ended. I just had the sword, basic defense, and the food that heals with each step when it happened.

Would love to see a version of this with a bigger environment or even a randomly generated one. Nice job on this submission!

Lovely artstyle!

The battle is a bit confusing at first though.

Also FISH :D

Developer

Thank you!! The battle mechanic I borrowed from "He is Coming". I can see if you aren't familiar with that style of game that it could be confusing.

Love everything about this. The cost to moving for the player makes you have to think about where you want to go and is a really good creative design choice. Nice one!

I really loved the pixel art style! The color palette and use of colors create a very nice visual identity for the game. You did a great job bringing this world to life. Congratulations on your submission!

Developer

Thank you! I used a asset pack from Vexed that just works so well with the vision I had for this game.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't know about that asset website.

I hope you get a chance to play my game too.

I love the retro vibe of this game! It reminds me of Crawl. I really liked this approach to the theme!

Developer

Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed! I was inspired by "He is Coming" when making this game. I haven't heard of Crawl before but it looks like a pretty neat game so ty for putting me onto it!

Daaangit! I finished this boss! YES! Slashed through him with my Axe, and shot him with a bow I won by killing a bunch of imps. All while being well protect with my smaract armor I recieved after fighting beasty arachno-monsters. And wearing my special gold armor which I found somewhere in the outer wilds, which was protected by a skeleton-men.

MADE IIIIIIIIIIT!!!!
What an adventure!!

It's a really fun idea! It felt rewarding figuring out how to beat the boss after dying a few times.
