A genuinely good and complete game. The narrative is fairly simple and somewhat predictable, but it is still charming, coherent, and even carries a small positive message.
The strongest part for me was the gameplay. Everything worked extremely well: the mechanics felt precise, I encountered no bugs, and the variety of locations kept the experience fresh. At one point, I considered stopping because the game felt fairly long, but the pacing improved later, the story accelerated, and once I became more comfortable with the mechanics, the rest went by quickly.
I was also glad that the professor decided to stay with us instead of changing jobs. I’m not sure whether the ending depends on how well you perform during the game, but that would be a very interesting feature if it does. Having different outcomes based on your performance could add even more meaning to the mechanics.
The visual style is not entirely to my personal taste, but it is cohesive and works well. It also took me some time to understand that I needed to plan my route between rooms using the mini-map, but once I figured that out, everything became much clearer.
Overall, this is a polished and well-made project with excellent mechanics, good level variety, and a pleasant narrative.
