Short and sweet narrative, it's a nice change of pace from repeatable core loops since that's the general game jam advice.

The voice acting surprised me! I really liked the intro and the narrative overall. Player movement is good. The gameplay is a little janky but that's okay. Solid game for a jam!
Voice acting was fire. The characters are well written and the story was surprisingly not cookie cutter despite the initial setup. I was slightly confused at one moment with the enemies where a character implied that not making any noise would increase your chances of survival. The gameplay felt limited in decision making and gameplay mechanics. Although I did enjoy the story and my time playing the game.

Its a quick but good game. I liked the little maze at the end and the funny little quips from each character.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT INFORMATION - I made a mistake when uploading the files for the game jam. I am not able to fix this until the jam is over. To fix this issue, rename the '_Data' folder to 'InThePineTrees_Data' and then launch the exe. The game will not launch otherwise.
Has a creative 3D environment with unique models. Features an original song that fits the horror tone and atmosphere. Great work!
