i liked the concept and thought the jokes were funny, but i was a little lost on whether it was based on their working hours or what they would say when i talked to them. wish you could speed up time.
Really liked the core concept. The visuals are genuinely cute and I like the idea of talking to all the characters to piece together information. My main takeaway is that the pacing feels a bit idle at times, since there's quite a lot of downtime where you don't have much to do. If you can expand on the interactivity and give players more ways to engage with the studio, this could turn into a little gem.
The concept of this game was really enjoyable, and I think the idea of having to interact with everyone to find more information, however I feel there was too much time where the player isn't really able to do anything, as beyond interacting with the different characters there isn't anything else to interact with to impact the game.
Yeah it was a concern raised by a lot of people, either we should make a skippable day, or make the time not stop during conversations. We'll probably fix it after the jam is over, but thanks for playing!
Very creative with how firing affects the game itself! As nice as it is, it's not great at keeping my attention. Once I talked to everyone the first few times I just waited out 80% of the clock most of the latter days since there wasn't much new to do. Would love to replay it and see what else I can affect but another 10 minutes of waiting ain't it, sorry. But I do love the animations, style, and especially the music! Your team should be proud
Thanks! Yes we're aware it can be boring, we'll make a few adjustments after the jam so people can at least enjoy it a bit better. Thanks also for playing!
i liked the game and i liked watching the little shape people walk around. i was definitely in the camp of - i wish i could end the day faster, or just select someone directly from the overworld to be fired after hearing what they have to say. the guy who said he expensed his hawaii vacation, i wanted to fire him instantly! :)
the game has real release potential in the future if you continue working on it! great job
Thanks for playing! And yes, we know the day is a little too long, we may change it after the jam, just to make it more enjoyable.
Who knows, maybe we will at some point! That would be super fun
Wow, insane work in 4 days, i love the concept and it's really funny for us to fire someone, i just wish yeah.. we could skip time and also maybe do some more things as a ceo idk, more like a management thing, but it was really cool even tho a bit repetetive with no real thing happening to us idk if it's clear, but crazy creative and really cute !
Thank you for trying it out! Yes there are a couple of flaws like not being able to end the day faster, and we thought about actually managing the company, but time was short and making a huge game was not really an option lol
really cool game idea! great work on the art and audio!
Thank you so much for your feedback and for taking the time to play the game; we’re really glad you enjoyed it.
The way the game pauses when you click on a character made the levels take too long to finish. I'm ASSUMING that's not because one of the developers was slacking. It's impossible for me to confidently give you critique for this game because I don't know how many of the problems aren't an intended part of the game. Once I realized the people I was firing had a direct impact on the game itself, my complaints became irrelevant. Very creative game. I love it.
Yeah being 1 minute each day and not being able to end it faster, probably the pause on dialogues is a bit too much. Noted! It's not a problem of the guys in game, this one is on us lol The bugs are more or less witten in their dialogue + their task in the Firing menus is a bit of an hint to what they might break. Thanks for playing anyway, very appreciated!
I also really like the difficult choices after the obvious slackers were gone. Being forced to fire someone useful made the choice difficult, because it would make the following rounds more chaotic. I can see potential for more difficult modes, which maybe force you to fire more people per round, creating more chaos.
Maybe add a hiring system as well, with devs that offer new features! The boss wants you to hire one of his kids to join the project, but they all offer negative or bizarre features. The shareholders might drop some devs on you that give negative features, like microtransactions, for the sake of money.
Yeah we thought of also implementing hiring, but then we didn't have enough clarity with the characters to make it really understandable. Also, time was a bit tight and we weren't even able to add a couple of features that would make life easier inside the game so it was not really an option ahah but yeah if we were to expand it, it would really become a chaotic fun little game!
Love the art style and overall presentation. Took a bit for the core loop to show itself, felt like I was waiting for the click to count down the first couple days. The controls to be a bit unintuitive on web, especially with middle mouse button to scroll had to play in fullscreen. Wish I could have used WASD to move and right click to pan like an RTS camera.
Yeah we didn't take into account that the mouse wheel would mess with the browser, but now we learned a new thing! We will try to implement wasd after the jam cause it was something we said and then never got to it :(
I very much enjoyed playing this game. I liked seeing how things changed and got "harder" when firing the wrong employer. Great artwork and original gameplay!
Thank you very much for your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that you enjoyed it. We hope that discovering the bugs we’ve created was as much fun for you as it was for us. Thank you for your time.
I liked the game and especially the idea, tho I imagine some "anomalies" are much harder to spot. Since I did not notice any in the last few days.
I also do not get what the "wasted hours" is for since using that was marked incorrect.
Still, you made a great game!
Thank you! Yes there are a couple of things not really working. The wasted hours might be having some troubles, we noticed it also in playtest but in the end we couldn't really try to fix it more than we did. Sad but that's the risk of a jam lol Yes, some are harder to spot like animations at low fps or some items breaking or part of the UI trolls you around, but in the end there are only six impostors for 10 days, so if you got them all you should be good!
Thanks anyway, appreciated!
I accidentally skipped the controls at the start and it wasn't showing up again, so I was left guessing. Other that that, it's a really impressive game to be made in four days. The concept is creative and the overall aesthetic is pleasing to look at, so good work :)
Thank you for the feedback!
I thought implementing a check if the tutorial was already done would help people not get annoyed by it, but maybe being 2 pages we could have definitely left it inside. Also we thought refreshing the page would make it appear again, but we were wrong lol
Everything is fine, I just hope you can skip the day because I cannot wait a whole day just to fire someone, LOL.
Yeah I know, we debated a lot about how much a day must last, and thought only at the end that a "call it a day" button would definitely be useful, we'll think of adding it when the jam is over!
really creative concept and i love the design of the employees! i found moving around/the controls to be a little hard to work with, but that's my only concern
Could have it been cause of the in-game wanted bug? We have one that inverts the scroll, if it happened to you that's why! You have to fire who's creating it!If not and it was a problem of the page scrolling down, then you have to play it full screen, we didn't take into account that it could mess with the browser scroll lol
Unfortunately didn't keep my attention, I like the idea in theory and the presentation is cute, but it's way too much to keep track of and navigating the world is pretty annoying. Sorry to be so negative about it, this is really impressive work to finish in just 4 days! It feels like with a bit of polish and some more design work this could be really really cool, but in this form it doesn't quite work for me
Appreciate the time to share the feedback. It's fair, and we feel overall the same
With more time it could scale up to be a pretty nice game eheh
Thanks again for playing it
