The crab was so cute, really enjoyed the music speeding up with the game, the controls are not the best (the jump in particularly, it was a bit low) but still very fun :) 🦀
I love the art style! My best scores were 90 / 70 / 110. I think if this game had more levels it could be cool to introduce having multiple boxes at once to drop off at different places to add some more routing strategy. It would also be really cute to see CR4-B13 with a whole stack of boxes on its head. Also, the green arrow was really helpful and I appreciate its inclusion!
Alright, I liked the lil' crab and enjoyed the music :). The platforming wasn't particularly that fun given the limited vertical mobility of the player and the levels being more vertical. Certain powerups did give the player more vertical mobility, and I enjoyed the double jump. If the double jump was just the default I think this game would be a lot better. The tiles were also quite small, making tiny ledges and jumps frustrating when the only jump the player could do was a large jump, and the player hitbox feel large when it came to things like spikes or hazards. I do like the idea of a crab delivering packages though, and had a fair bit of fun delivering packages when I didn't have to go up or down like 5 levels to get to the delivery destination.
Game is fun, enjoyed playing and the music is making it more exciting.
Nice work! I really liked the small touch how the music became more hectic as the clock was running out. The first level felt perhaps a bit too easy, as I got more extra time from the deliveries than it took me to get between the delivery spot, but the later levels felt more like challenge.
Also in the web build there were some unfortunate large lag spikes early in each level, when jumping for the first time and when collecting a power-up for the first time. Thankfully after that the game ran smooth for the rest of that level.
Cute main character!
Really good game. The audio is great and the challenge level seems appropriate, although it'd be fun to have a little more to do at times. Maybe more aggressive enemies as well.
Overall though, I enjoyed playing this game. Nicely done!
This game is pretty fun! I would suggest decreasing the gravity, as it seemed to be very strong! I liked the music, and one other suggestion I have is, if possible, to pre-load the particle effects! Pressing start, choosing maps, even pressing "menu" in game over caused significant lag spikes! Other than that, good game!
Thank you, this is our first time using Godot we are still figuring out the nice QOL features like preloading particles, which seems to be a bigger problem on the web build rather than the download
As for the gravity I do have it rather strong hoping to convey the feeling of a heavy robot spider however I probably have the terminal velocity a tad too high
Thank you for playing!!
Might've just been my browser, but it seemed to lag substantially when getting power-ups for the first time. Otherwise, the controls felt responsive. Really loved the music!
Really funky music! The game runs so smoothly and the platforming (especially the jumping) feels really good actually!
This game is really fun. The controls felt a bit too sensitive at first, so it took me a while to get used to them. But once I did, I really enjoyed the gameplay. Great job! I really like this game.
Super cute! Thank you for the green arrows, and the way the music gets more frantic as time runs out is a great touch. There were a few spots in the second map where I tried to jump to a ledge five tiles above me and couldn't land on it, even though it looked like I had enough height.
