Interesting game, but I didn't get very far, there was just too much going on for me. I think it would help if there weren't quite so many crossings of the lines, especially with multiple of the same color and with ere being crossings that don't have a stop. Having sounds to indicate when new items appear or expire and when moving would also be helpful.

Also as a tip, if you can upload a web build as well (I believe Unity allows web exports), that would also help with accessibility and make it more likely for more people to play & rate your game.

All solid advice for sure. Sounds and some more clarity when lines overlap would definitely help.

Web export from Unity was broken (wasn’t rendering correctly, probably some shader inclusion issue) which is why I couldn’t get a web version up during the jam this time. I’m hoping to fix everything in an update in the future though.

Really fun, really reminds me of mini metro. I love how simple, yet how insane it can get!

Developer

Thanks so much! And yes I was definitely very inspired by mini metro. Glad you enjoyed playing :)

Insanity! But pretty fun!

Developer

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

The concept seems appealing, but I don't want to risk a migraine by playing, due to the brightness and high-contrast. I understand there's not time to add tons of accessibility options during a game jam, but please do consider adding a dark mode it if you continue to develop the game further.

Hey Luke, sorry about the high contrast, I’m definitely going to add a set of accessibility settings if I continue development. I setup the game to have fully customisable color palette but unfortunately didn’t get enough time to expose it, as I suspect it isn’t super friendly with color blindness/color deficiency either.

Come to think of it the high contrast might be a source of the headaches I was getting developing it…

This is such a unique concept for a game, which is the most valuable asset to a game jam i believe! It is also incredibly well executed. It is such an addictive feeling trying to get past your high score, I got to day 6 once! I love the randomisation of the maps and their playability, it keeps you on your toes when delivering food and is a huge motivator for upgrades on your maps. I also love the countdown on the decision pages to ensure the fast nature of the game is reinforced. The narrative is also hilarious and completely unique to anything I have played before. Congrats on an amazing game!!

Thanks for your kind words Kaytlyn! Good to see you had fun playing it haha

I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would.

The random Levels give the game pretty good replayability. And I also like that the upgrades apply to the world instead of the player.

The controls are actually pretty good once you get used to them.

If I had to fix something  from the game it would probably be the "move busstop" system to make it cancleable and more intuitive. And I would reset the countdown of an item when you initially pick it up (since a bad map layout can make getting to the first and second position in time sometimes impossible).

What an awesome little concept. I have never seen an game in this direction before

Developer

Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! And you're absolutely right that the controls for moving stops/lines is a bit janky, especially with very little visual feedback. I've gotta rejig that and probably add mouse controls for moving around the map too.

This was actually a reasonably fun game.

The controls are a bit akward, but I guess they work. I like there is the managment stuff with the upgrades. I would have liked to have more control over that stuff though, I think that was the fun part.

I think 2 nodes can spawn on the same spot, but you not be able to move between the lines. And maybe the line spawning could be made less spageti like, the tangle can be a bit confusing.
