Really cool game! I loved the physics based arrows. Ai a bit quirky but its fine.
Ill be watching the steam version with interest.
Lost at wave 11 because of turn time out (last enemy had 15 ho left, so close!)
It was a fun game. I was using the < build defender plant + sunflowers > strategy to get energy, then spam more sunflowers and attack plants.
The fact that you keep some/(even 0) energy between wawes is actually kind of bad for doing combacks. When you are doing bad it only gets worse for you.
But the graphis and music was excelent. And the gameplay was fun as well. Some of the plants were not as usefull.
I would have liked if I saw enemy stats. Like how much defense does the snail have? And I would like to see what the enemy (and my own, if I forgot) plants do. Otherwise its a bit hard to strategize around them. I actually just ignored all the enemy plants anyway. I think the plants stay alive for too short of a time, which makes reactive plays bad.
Played it with my teamate!
It was kind of fun. The sun moon lore was cool, and how the moon eclipses the sun if you win as the moon guy, that was cool! The music was great as well.
I think the controls were a bit akward, mainly the walljump and the collisions with the platforms were a bit weird. (maybe because you can wall jump off of platform edges? Which stops your momentum?)
Interesting game.
I did guess a bunch of questions and managed to win.
Also there were a lot of QUESTIONS. How can you say a question is a lie or truth! All the things should be statemenents instead!
The graphical effects were cool, but made it a bit hard to see things super clearly. Or maybe it was the darkness...
It was tense and fun.
Beat the game (maxxed out every upgrade, tried every area)
Super atmospheric. This has a real STYLE!!!
The artwork is great, the music is fitting.
I think it would be better if the later areas had different changes other than more loot types and less dragon sleep time, but it works well enough for the jam.
I liked it a lot!
The shopkeeper having a limited inventory is a cute idea, which I always like. But it is lowkey a bit anoying. It didn't really cause me any problems thought, I only had to keep like an item in my chest twice. (the weight and escape mechanics already encouradge you to get value dense items anyway)
Maybe the potions could be rebalanced a bit. The red one was the best one i think and had the best balance. I didn't really buy any silences, so I only used them when I found them. Stamina was ocasionaly good
Sad ending, fun game!
Too bad about the bugs, but I managed to win without cheating. I am not sure if this is intended, but you can teleport into another block if the blue portal is on the same tile. And then you can move out of the block on any empty side. I won the second to last level using this technique.
Some levels really forced me to think a lot. Too bad there is no music.
I would also have liked a rewind feature, so i don't need to restart the level from the begining every time.
And a faster walk speed would be nice!
I beat every level except C-5, that one is impossible. At least for me. Genuinly would like to see a solution to that. You need a teleport infront of the goal. But to be able to place that teleport and make it back in time you need a teleport in front of the spikes to be able to drop the goal pentagram, and run back to a the top coffin before time runs out, so you can run to the blood person, teleport to the goal and win. 1 Day to set up first teleport day2 to set up second teleport day 3 to get blood and use teleport to win. But I was not able to find the route to do this.
Anyway its an amazingly polished game. Super great graphics and juice! The music is good and sfx as well.
Really great prezentation, great level obstacle variety and mechanical variety. The abilites were cool.
Excellently done. o((>ω< ))o
fun game! I loved how the problems were really placed on the map where it made sense. But that super small lake next to the cabin from the tutorial got me good, I didn't see it so I ignored it as a potential drowning spot. Almost lost that emergency :3
I really have only 3 crititizms.
1) when you upgrade a squad they teleport, this is anoying and confusing when you are actively trying to use them.
2) there are periods of time where I solved every call and no new ones were apearing for like 15 seccinds. A little breathing time is good, but it was a bit too much at times.
3) some calls apear super close to the towers. I guess that is not a super problem, it just makes it easy to solve those by runing in a circle with one ranger.
I think I would have liked more contextual reasoning instead of just triangulation (like knowing that a house fire can only burn where a building is, or the person calling you telling you they see a landmark in X distance) But I get there was not that much time for that stuff. Triangulation was fun.
Oh and I did not realize you could move the scraps of paper with your mouse, so I was just making circles asap >w<
but it was fine, I won the game anyway.
Score 3, The nuke got me.
Fun game! The modifiers really make the game tick, the added chaos spices up the game enough for you to always be activaly engaged, having to read the text and react with the correct button the correct amount of times, and having to keep track of direction changes and stuff. Fun!
I hate scary games, but I managed to play through this one (on first try).
+ The atmosphere is pretty good.
- The grass keeps clipping through the road.
+ The enemy sound design means you know from which direction they are comming from and have enough warning time
The map not showing your location is great. You have to figure it out by looking at the coordinates which takes time and would allow the monsters to sneak up on you. Sadly the enemies don't move on their own. Still increases the tention if you are running out of time and are lost.
And bor the bird that souns as a money sound effect gave me a heart attack. It was fine the first time but it just kept going and going and I was imagining some horific birdheaded monster right behind me. Well imagination is the greatest scare anyone can give you.
Also if running has no cost, just make it the default walking speed. I don't need to catch a carpal tunnel from your game >w<
Oh and the game was a bit laggy. Moving the mouse around felt a bit choppy
There was no reason to play for me.
I played until I found all the modules and tried them out, killed a few enemies with them. And then I was just going around collecting food and realized I saw everything the game had to offer, and the gameplay just was not interesting to me on its own to continue playing
49/49 wax baby!
Super fun game and a really creative idea!
The final level was a bit anoing with the fire slime only lighting you when it touches your wick. Like I get that that is a game mechanic. But it forces you to come to him when you are small and that is a bit too anoying, because when you misscalculate and end up 1 pixel too high you can't set yourself alight and have to restart the whole level.
Really fun otherwise, and the graphics are super cute. The bees! WOowoow
Wow, really nice game! Its polished and has a lot of juice!
I think the time cops spawn too often. Makes it hard to get by them because they can eat through all of your amunition really fast.
I also don't think the whole building should be alerted to you stealing the artefact, makes stealthing around a bit pointless (i tried this on the final level).
The upgrades were nice, but maybe there should be acurency system or something, personaly i don't like random upgrade choises, im not a roguelike head.
I liked the vest and stealth upgrades!
Ended my playthrough at level 7, because it became repetitive to me.
But the game was fun. I don't understand why we have to place all our tiles in all road spots. It's kind of anoying honestly.
The mosnters were kind of interesting, the whirpool was my favourite. When you place next to each other it produces some weird results <w<
1:30 time - 1.3 hp remaning
Very hard game. The sun catches up too fast I think. (well, i was able to beat it on my seccond try)
And the fact that you can jump at any time was screwing me. I just wanted to fall down a level and float to the next exit. Instead I would jump up wards into the sun and it would throw me off.
But its a cool concept, navigating physics objects...
Played twice lost twice.
Man what a hard game, but very atmospheric and fun. I don't know how to leave people outside the elevator when you are on full capacity. Seems not implemented to me.
Also I panicked and didn't properly read the instructions so I clicked the door to open it and I let a mimic in. Whoops.
Bro thinks he's slick!
