love the game. the jumping mechanic is very fun and different. overall great level design. just nitpicking but maybe the movement is  a little to sensitive

The game has interesting idea and  nice level design that makes good use of core mechanic. I'd also like to say about good graphics and good technical condition. Among the downsides, there are bad spike hitboxes, which I consider the game's main downside. Also noticeable is the lack of basic character movement features, such as coyote time, jump buffering, and character acceleration and deceleration.  Another problem I had was that the character's jump height that was lower while standing still and higher while moving, which made some parts of the second level almost impossible to get through. Despite all the mentioned downsides, I enjoyed playing this game. Good luck with your future projects!

I've seen some games with similar mechanics in other GMTK jams, however this is still very fun :)

I think the thing that really makes this mechanic fun is the fact that the jump still happens in mid air, that opens up lots of cool design opportunities.

you're brother got the music spot on as well, it nicely fits the mario castle kinda vibe.

It's really simple so I really can't think of any nitpicks other than that it's a little repetitive, but that's forgivable in a jam game. overall nice job.
