How does your game fit the theme?
The countdown is the antagonist. There is a button and a number at ten, every press takes one off. But reaching zero doesn't win it completes a cycle, rebuilds the button slightly worse than it was, and starts again at ten. Zero is what causes the loop.

I thought the UI was really sleek, and the writing was interesting. I struggled with the early cycles because I felt like there wasn't much of interest to hold onto, but by the time I got to the dog and the mouse with momentum (~around cycle 13 I think) I started to get curious about where this was going. Though it makes sense in the full scope of the story, I definitely felt like a lot of the more time consuming and slow cycles (I'm primarily thinking of the one where it loads really slowly) felt like they could be greatly cut or reduced without losing anything meaningful to overall narrative. When I got to my ending a realized there was probably a way to go back and do it a different way that was nicer to the ai (I got the "follow rules" ending), and even though I wanted to see a different ending, the thought of going through the many slower cycles again was enough to deter me for trying another run, even though I was curious. Still overall a very nice entry, especially in terms of UI and narrative.
This is really useful, thank you. The pacing point is fair and you are not the first to say it, the slow cycles are the thing I would cut first if I revisit this. The ending situation is worse than you realised too, because there is no way to skip ahead, so wanting to see another ending means sitting through all of it again. That is a design mistake on my part, not a content problem. If I do a post jam version, a cycle skip after your first playthrough is the top of the list. Really glad it clicked for you around the dog and the mouse.
Loved this! Very This is the Only Level, playing with the player's cursor was very surprising, makes me want to explore that idea more. Really good job!
Yup, this is cool. Feel creepy in a weird way, although the text is sometimes hard to understand, I think. (But maybe it's meant to?) Besides that, it feels very polished.
Incredible game. It felt more like an experience rather than a game. I loved it! Greath graphics and audio design!!! <3
Good one, I was shocked to find out all this is was made without an engine, only html and CSS. Well done man
I followed instructions. But at what cost. I pet the dog though.
simple but harmony game, from design to sound and visual. but it feels so frustrating when i pressed r and the progress returned to zero.
This was surprisingly enjoyable for its simplicity! The "narrator" reminded me of a mix between Glados (from Portal) and the guy from Clickcolding. The art style was clean and simple, but the complexity of clicking the button after each round was a fun surprise. Well done!
This is the first game I have given 5 stars across the board!
I loved the narrative and the visuals subtly shifting, you dont even notice how much it has changed until the end.
Artwork is beautiful, sounds is satisfying story was great... and there's multiple ending!
I loved it and criminally under viewed. I think maybe the header image is underselling the game too much. NGL i wasn't drawn to click on it but it was the last on the page i hadn't done. maybe update the image to something more engaging and you'll get more eyes on
Wow, this is the best feedback I could ever ask for :) Thank you so much for the 5 stars (this is my first game ever, so hearing that means everything). And you are 100% right about the header image, I am literally redesigning it tonight because of your comment (I am not an artist yet, but I am working on it). So glad the narrative and the subtle shifts landed for you. Thanks for playing!
Great use of narrative throughout the game, I liked the casualness of the chat. Being able to expand on a simple idea, ie press a button 10 times, and give the player so much more to do is a great example of building on what you have without bloat. 5/5 for creativity, 4/5 for narrative!
Its a good game and story and the way it was narrated was compelling and gripping and loved it.
Can you guys rate my game"Withers in Rage Flower"?
Surprisingly good game! I loved the game's logic and story. The dog is so cute! (I would stay there with her forever, haha)
Hit the theme the best from the 10 games I played, but was annoyed when it came to hovering the button and waiting for what felt like 10 seconds.
