No AI was used. The game utilizes a plugin for dialogue. Pre-existing code was used for the music player (the music was made specifically for this game though). I think that's all, feel free to ask though.

The palette is beautiful and calm. Petrol blue sky with huge flat lilac clouds, brown earth islands with grass on top. That purple and turquoise contrast is unlike anything else in this jam, which was dominated by neon and black. This one makes you want to stay a while.
The hints appear at the right moment, inside the game: walk near a field and "Plant something on a field with P." shows up, then disappears when you move away. Along with a couple of other entries here, it's one of the few that teaches without a wall of text. The inventory bar at the top, with items drawn inside wooden frames and quantities beside them, is pretty and clear. And having trading NPCs in a seven day jam is brave scope.
Real credit for thinking about non US keyboards, too. Your page says arrows, WASD and ZQSD all work, and ZQSD being the French layout is an accessibility detail almost nobody remembers.
Three notes. The game only responded to the keyboard after I forced focus onto the canvas, on my first attempts the arrows did nothing, which is probably the classic "first click gets swallowed" case. It's also hard to see where the next jump is, because the lilac clouds are as solid as the earth platforms, so you can't tell what's ground and what's background. Making the clouds more transparent would fix that immediately.
And an honest one on the jam theme rather than the game: I couldn't work out the high score connection. The number at the top stayed at 0 and the whole thing feels more like calm progression than score chasing. That's not a flaw in what you built, it's genuinely pleasant, it just sits a bit outside the brief. Of the relaxed games in this jam, this was the nicest to look at.
The concept of combining farming, trading, and arcane knowledge is a very interesting idea, but I imagine it must be complex to implement, especially with a tight jam deadline. Good effort putting them all together!
For future updates, streamlining the controls (like unifying interact, plant, and water actions under context-sensitive keys) could help make the farming loop feel smoother.
Note that the Windows version will resize, but it seems button hitboxes will not, as I could not interact with buttons in the Windows build, but I could with the web version. This is a nice game, although I didn’t know what my objective exactly was other than crafting that cake. I thought of it like the objective was just to have a little harvest of plants and to enjoy the process, making it stand out from other games with this one taking a more calm route :). However, it seems highscore hasn’t been implemented!! D: Or maybe is it that counter on the middle top of the screen? I couldn’t get it working, only showing 0.
That's odd, I was going to have to look at resizing again either way, because of the html issues. As for the score, it is indeed the counter in the middle, there is a way to increase it, the idea was that players would explore a bit and eventually figure out they can get over the wall on the left side with a float potion, then there they would find the witch, and trading with her increases the score. But perhaps that was a bit ambitious to assume players would figure that out while testing a jam game:). Either way thanks for playing, and for the feedback!
Edit: I tested the executable again and it seemed to work for me, but there was a strange issue while developing where occasionally clicks weren't registering regardless of scale unless you reloaded the game, both in the web and executable version. But since I wasn't able to consistently replicate it to figure out what caused it I assumed it was simply my laptop acting weird, but I guess it's an actual in game bug then, I'll have to look at that.
I read in the game description that the red and blue berries have three growth stages, and that the second stage is the best time to harvest them. However, I couldn't seem to harvest any berries by pressing Enter, so I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong or if it's a bug.
That said, the game looks great, and the music creates a really calm, pleasant atmosphere.I also felt that some sound effects would go a long way toward making the game feel more satisfying.
It has a lot of potential, but I think the core planting mechanic could use a bit more polish.
Thanks for your comment! I watched the video, and you should've gotten the berries because the plants disappear only in three cases: dry earth, rotting, and harvesting. But both rotting and dry earth would give visual feedback, so you certainly harvested them correctly. I genuinely have no idea why it didn't work. Do you mind telling me which browser you ran it in? Or if you ran the executable, or the linux version? I want to try to replicate what happened because I have no idea why it didn't work.
Sound effects are on my list of stuff I'd like to add if I continue working on it:).
Sure! I played the web version on Edge.
Such a nice, chill game to play!
Thanks for playing it!
The game had an relaxing atmosphere. I wish the instruction/explanation would be a bit more interactive, it was pretty hard to understand from the game description. cool game!
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind if I decide to update the game after the jam:), if you have suggestions on stuff I should clarify in the description for now feel free to lmk.
Cool relaxing game!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Its like terraria meets stardew valley! Nice work, the font could be a little bit more readable tho probably a resolution resizing problem. Love the game tho :D
Thanks for your comment, glad you liked the game:), the font is indeed a resizing problem, if I decide to continue working on the game after the jam it's the first thing I'm fixing.
