I enjoyed my play through greatly, although as an unfortunate side effect, I now have a fear of biblically accurate angels lol. I also saw you got it submitted with a healthy amount of breathing room before the end of the jam; congrats with that! (I always end up pushing it to the last minute, which doesn't usually go well *nervous chuckle*)

I think the addition of the squire was a really great idea; it relieves some of the stress from the player. Though, it might be cool to see how the gameplay is altered if the squire's/count's shooting abilities were switched, forcing more control/responsibility onto the player.

Congrats on an awesome submission, and I look forward to seeing what you release next!

The gameplay loop just clicks instantly! It’s super simple to get into and insanely fun.
And I thought I was totally cooked at first, but then the squire! Help me a lot.

Nice one, I liked the progression and boy was I happy when I got my squire, what a day! :D

Nice little game. I like my squires to shoot angelic beings with their musket like that

good job!

Count Downes is a good pun and the game around it is clean and easy to read. The bow tracking the cursor feels right, and getting to pick between speed and health after a wave gives the run a bit of shape. Healing to full between waves is definitely the right call for something this short. The theme is where it's thinner for me. A wave that happens to count backwards doesn't change how I play, so the countdown ends up being decoration rather than pressure. I also hit a bug worth knowing about, when I died partway through wave 2 the Enemies Remaining counter dropped to minus one, so something keeps ticking after the wave should be over. Worth a look, since that number is the one bit of UI carrying the theme.

I liked the biblical angel things attacking me.

Nice game, like the pun take on the theme :)

It was enjoyable and I finished it. Well done!

The game felt very polished. I really appreciated the little things like how your squire has voice lines or how you can destroy projectiles using your own.

A reasonably fun shooter. I will say the "count down" aspect kind of got lost; the fact that there's a set number of enemies in a wave and it happens to be indexed backwards does not have a significant effect on the overall game.

Simple, nice, reminds me of some old flash games, brings back some nice memories! Congrats and well done!

Thanks! Yeah the game is definitely inspired by flash era games.
