This is a fun game, but I ran into problems with requiring a lot of luck to actually accomplish orders. The orders have really short time frames and it is pretty common for the whole time frame to pass before you even get one of the materials you need for the dish. Something should be added requiring the ingredients needed for a dish to be given during its allotted time. That being said, the art style is pretty cute and the hectic vibe is great!
Nice one, I like the bgm, but it kinda feels luck heavy because sometimes I just never get certain items that I need.
Very similar to overcooked, it could be pretty interesting if the rng wasn't so bad, it's quite hard to even make one of the dishes asked by the game when sometimes you don't even get the ingredients needed.
Thanks for playing:) Yeah I understand that the rng is a bit frustrating, I should have improved this part of the game unfortunately, many pointed that out. I hope you still enoyed palying the game when the luck was on your side.
But I will take this into account for the next game jams, thanks for the feedback
Cute game! Didn't feel very new in terms of idea or mechanics, but it's fun to walk around and make meals for people! But the RNG can be brutal...
Worst thing about the gamefeel is that I couldn't put things down anywhere, I was just walking around with a fish in my hand that I didn't even need like WHERE DO I PUT IT.
Makes it feel way more clunky than it actually is :)
Thanks for playing :)
Well, it can be frustrating walking around with a fish in the hand, that's why there is a trash can where you can put the items that you don't need. I hope that in the end you figured it out, unfortunately I haven't got much time for a tutorial this year..
Overcooked style game, honestly it's alright but the RNG is very unfavorable atleast has been so in my runs. A short and informative tutorial to teach the ropes and making things a bit more straightforward would help a lot. Because I kept wondering where to place which items and moving across the space takes a while. A solid attempt nevertheless! Good submission!
I was challenged, but when i got the hang of the plating system + good RNG i was able to have some good runs ! fun game
Unfortunately the RNG gods were not friendly to some of my orders and never gave me the ingredients I needed, and I think the game could have used a quick tutorial to make the learning curve more straightforward. I think it's really impressive that you made the game without an engine though, and I love the title!
A solid baseline for a project especially doing it entirely from scratch, though a few elements make it quite difficult to play. I couldnt complete a lot of orders because either the food i needed wasnt appearing or I didnt have enough time to navigate back and forth fast enough to assemble everything. It was also a little bit unclear as to where which objects could be placed especially when some of the level collision let the player walk on the counters and belts.
Don’t know why this doesn’t have this more reviews, really fun idea! One deal breaker though is that I often times cannot fulfill orders due to the conveyor belt not giving me what I needed. That, combined with the lack of a restart button, makes re-opening the executable get stale, and makes it slightly painful to see an order wither out. Still, very cool for being made with no game-engine (gotta commend you for that!).
Feels like playing overcooked which I wish was a bit more original
Thanks for playing, well I never played that game before actually. But unfortunate to hear that :')
