Mechanics seem interesting. A suggestion I have is to make the movement feel a little more responsive. Nice work

I won't lie, the lack of a level restart button is a bit frustrating, but the mechanics themselves intrigued me. I tried to progress all the way to level 4, but the path that took me up couldn't kill me because I had no jumps or dashes, and spikes don't kill me. And again, completing the entire game seemed too long. But in any case, the art is beautiful, the mechanics are well-designed, and future tweaks to the interface and some audio effects could make the game extremely enjoyable. Good luck!

nice idea! I liked the art

took a bit to get used to the controls, but the movement system was pretty fun. Not being able to spam jump/dash as I pleased certainly added an interesting twist to the platforming
(the character sprite was cute too!)

I think the game would benefit from a restart button, as well as something to indicate that the numbers at the top left are your remaining jumps and dashes. It also took me some time to realize that I can dash into walls to grab onto them. I really liked the effort put into the character sprite, especially the animation that plays if you're hanging on to the ceiling!

Once i got the hang of the controls the game was pretty fun to try to beat, good work!

I will fix them when I get the chance

It took a second but I really liked the idea of the movement! It felt a bit unforgiving with how tight some of the jumps were combined with how many jumps and dashes you were given. Overall though good work!

Is there a way to restart the stage when I run out of  jumps and I get stuck, besides refreshing the page?

Developer

the only other way right now is running if to a spike. sorry

Platforming is quite clean, but some camera issues on some later stages make it challenging.

Submitted

Pretty fun, there were some issues with the camera but it actually ended up kind of being a fun little challenge trying to remember what the room looked like then navigating it blind lol

It took me a long time to get out of the first level because I was confused by the controls, and after using all my jumps and dashes trying to figure out what button does what, I needed to refresh the page and reload the game. The controls are listed backwards in the description!! I press Z to dash, and X to jump.

The controls are interesting, I liked learning to chain the dash and double jumps together. I tried for like 40 minutes but couldn't make it past the 4th level because the camera was snapping incorrectly, and the player was off-screen. Which is especially tough when the wind is pushing you into spikes! Some sound effects would have helped me figure out the timing to get past this obstacle blind, but I couldn't figure out how to make in consistently.

I made it to the final screen of this level once, but didn't have enough jumps to get up the final zig-zagging path. I would have liked to beat this game but the wind combined with being unable to see is too difficult.

Developer

sorry, I forgot the rest button.

I like the mechanics of the game, although it is a little confusing at times. Once you get the hang of it, it is pretty fun though!

Developer
