I'll join the others in saying that I loved the opening cutscene and the art. If your team had more time to flesh out the game and fix some of the issues, I'm sure this would've been a great little gem.

Thank you very much for trying our game despite its numerous bugs! And thanks for the lovely words <3

The opening story was amazing! I had a great time with the mechanics that were working and you already know about what isn't so I won't bother going over that again but I think you did something awesome with this little game! I loved how you made the screen darken when low on Oxygen. I think it would have been a nice touch if the oxygen came back more quickly when out of the sand and if the player had the ability to dive into the sand faster if they chose. Still, I can see the vision and I enjoyed me time with your game. Good job!

Thank you so much for trying it out! I do think the programmers implemented faster sinking by holding the down arrow, but there's not much of a visual tell for it...

Fun story, idea and sprites, but I wish that the mechanics were working, it would be a fun game too...

The music is also quite good!

We wish it worked too TvT Thank you for trying it out anyways!

Good concept! Although the bugs (Pun intended) prevent a full gameplay loop, the vision is really interesting. The art style is  so cute, it makes me want to own a pet scarab...

Thank you! We really had a grand vision for this, but realized too late it was too much for us :( I'm very glad you liked the art! (says the artist :3c ) It was super fun to work on

I love the artwork! It's super cute! The movement feels weird, though, and I didn't see the hourglass flip at all. the gameplay was somewhat confusing in that I wasn't sure why I was playing the game. If there was an end goal, I could see this being realIy engaging. The music is nice, and the concept is great. Congratulations on getting a game submitted!

Thank you for trying the game out! This version ended up indeed incredibly buggy (with more bugs than just Woodworm and Scarab) so the hourglass failed to flip and the jumping hardly worked. Our goal was to make it so it'd flip 3-4 times and if you survived that long without suffocating then the game would play a final cutscene! We may just link a video to it in the description...
