Damn that sucks. Send a link to a reuploaded version if you want, I would love to play and review it.

That's too bad! If you want any feedback still, link another version somewhere and I'd be happy to play it. I clicked the thumbnail because I wanted to play :) (tho maybe after the jam because I think it's against the rules)

This game is slander.  I completed more laps of the Pacer test back in the day.

On a more serious note, this game was pretty well executed and fun!  Couple of notes: I found it hard to pay attention to the stopwatch and the bar at the same time.  Maybe you could make them closer together so that you can keep track of time while playing.  The stamina system also felt a little unintuitive: I think it would make sense if you regained some stamina for finishing a lap early, and also it wasn't clear to me from the tutorial that I would lose stamina naturally, so I was confused why I ran out of stamina even when I was only executing perfects.  Lastly, having music that slows down with your stamina bar to make each perfect fall on the downbeat would really sell this game, though I imagine that wouldn't be particularly easy to develop.

Hey, thanks so much for taking the time to play the game and leave a comment, I really appreciate it!

I definitely struggled nailing down a solid UI, especially given the time constraint. You're totally right, putting the countdown timer closer to the bar would help. And great feedback about the stamina system. If given more time, I 100% would've rethought and kept tweaking how the timing/rhythm mechanics, stamina and powerups all work (both in isolation, and together). I may update all of these in a post-jam-update!

As for music... I'm no musician, so I knew not to even try tackling that given the timeline of the game jam, lol. Maybe I'll reach out to someone to help me with that! But agreed, having music that ties in to the rhythm of the running mechanic would be SWEET.

Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback, it's appreciated!

of course!

If you happen to get to retooling things sooner than later, I might not be too busy if you want to reach out about trying to incorporate the music!  I'm more of a musician than I am a game developer, and it could be a fun challenge for me to figure out how to implement it if things happen to work out haha

This was really fun! The theming is so smart and the gameplay is interesting. It was fun seeing the different upgrades and trying them out to find what works, and the art is so cute I love it!
