i dont even play balatro lol

dw about not finishing, what's here is the sauce, très bien fait

Developer

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed what I was able to get done! A lot of balancing needed but it’ll get there xD

I haven't played Balatro and there's no instructions/controls shown, I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do.

Developer

that’s a very good point! I’ll make note of that and will definitely work on adding a tutorial/instructions in my future development :)

I don't like to be negative when people have worked so hard for these projects :( sorry! But this was one I genuinely felt my rating might be unfair because of that one thing

Developer

No don't worry at all! I totally understand any low ratings I get because I definitely see that its not exactly a playable game in any right. I appreciate peoples honesty and it gives me more motivation to work more on it and try and get something that people like and want to play.

I would rate my own game very low too so there is no hard feelings at all :)

With a bit more time, this could be cool

Developer

Thanks! I hope so at least! I’m already working on it more and will be releasing a devlog post soon to be more open about the development :)

It's an interesting concept, I encouradge you to keep developing until a good demo!

Developer

Thank you! :) I’m working on it more already and I’m definitely going to make a working demo at some point when it’s in a good state :)

Its an interesting concept, the economy definitely needs a bit of balancing, and it would be nice to more visually see what is happening and maybe even be able to move the gears around to increase the efficiency to add a bit more gameplay, though overall it is well done!

Developer

Yeah lack of testing and polish time really hit me this jam xD I've got loads of ideas that I have for this game so i think i'm gunna keep going with it so hopefully one day they'll have these improvements!

i didn't understand it quite well since i didnt know Balatro, but i'd say the try count and it look like it have potential if you think about completing it , keep going and nt

Developer

Thanks! I appreciate that! I do think i'll keep working on it too tbh as i've got a load of ideas for it now :)

Creative! I think that it's far too easy. I also find the audio a bit grating, but it's a nice concept

Developer

Thanks! Yeah i found the audio really last minute and i definitely agree with your comment on the difficulty. If this was a month or 2 week long jam then i would've deffo had some time for fine tuning but had to wing it and pray

I totally see the ties to Balatro, it's an interesting concept! I liked how numbers started scaling really quickly. I can tell you probably overscoped, but hey, it's a learning experience for sure :) It's still a cool idea though, and one thing I would recommend if you want to add to this game---make there be some way to speed up the clock, it felt tedious to have to keep waiting for a 30 second countdown to end.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I had a massive list of like 50-100 items with different types and more scaling systems in mind but never got to those on the task list, i definitely overscoped! xD

That exact thought with the speed went through my head right after the jam ended, it deffo feels slow and doesnt ramp up quick enough. I was gunna go for either a button to stop the clock early you could press, or have some sort of time speed-up that matches your multiplier in some way or something along those lines
