Simple, yet effective. It had me sitting there trying to hit 200.

yummy

This is quite funny, you should think of extending the concept, I want to do more ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thanks for commenting!

Yeah, there are some ideas. I initially wanted the offset to cancel out. If in round 1, you were 20 seconds late, and in round 2 you're 25 seconds early, you'd only be off by 5 points.

But after play testing it, I think when spam and play randomly, you end up with a rather decent score with this balance out mechanic. So it didn't seem fair. But I could see myself adjusting number of rounds, total ticking time & offset/error calculation modes for a more polished game if time permits and if I am motivated haha.

It can be a fun fidget game on mobile or something like a Playdate.

Yooo, well done on the game I had a bunch of fun.

And did actually get quite hooked haha 5/5 for enjoyment!!!

Managed to hit 194 but will be defo be coming back for more haha.

Oh and it worked on a phone as well ๐Ÿ˜† wasn't expecting that ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Well done, I look forward to the full release on mobile?...

Developer(+1)

Haha, thank you for commenting! I am really glad you enjoyed it.

I guess the hit-boxes in Godot automatically work on mobile. I just didn't test it. The intended way of play was actually the [A] key for lever and [Space] for stop. Maybe you'd score better playing on a computer?

Submitted

Haha, I think you are right I'll just have to find one to play it on ๐Ÿ˜

Simple but very challenging

Nice idea! The game felt polished and it was fun but challenging to time the button properly. Maybe would be nicer to add a difficulty scale, so you could set it to be even more challenging, with less time so you have to act even faster. But still, it was very cool!

Developer

Thanks for commenting! Yeah, if I am motivated enough, I might try to polish this idea further for a simple fidget game on mobile.

Well put together! I got 197 as my best. I think needing to use the lever was slightly annoying so I appreciate being able to use the keys

Submitted(+1)

Damn only 197 come on bro. (* Says the bloke who only did 194 ....

Heya, also what keys do you use to activate the lever...

Developer (1 edit)

A is for the lever and Space is for the stop button. _/\_

Developer

Thanks for commenting haha. Yeah, I think I added the lever mechanic to throw people off and make it a little more unique than just have you sequentially try to hit the numbers. It is supposed to piss you off, but I guess if it pissed you off too much, it's a problem. xD

The game concept is very simple, and that's what makes it a really nice little mini-game that fits the theme. For the little graphics it has I find them really cool, and I really like how the scores get printed right after you click the button. I played it a dozen times, and my highscore was 241 points, not sure if I'm able to get more than that. It's always refreshing seeing simple games like this in a list of overcomplicated games. In my opinion this could be the perfect mobile game to play while waiting for the bus or things like that.

Can confirm it works well on mobile haha , did not expect it to just run on my chrome browser.

Although it does feel like it'll need some polish to work a bit better ๐Ÿ˜

Developer(+1)

Thanks for commenting! 241 is amazing! Yeah, I think it can be a great fidget game.

Interesting concept! I managed 207 as best score, wish there was a fast reload when you miss your first attempts!

Developer

Thanks for commenting!

207 is nice! Oh yeah, definitely. I didn't have time to implement a pause menu, but for a game like this a quick reload would be a nice to have.

Real fun! Quite a unique concept trying "stop" on just the decimal part while the clock keeps counting down the whole time, the seven segment font is a bit hard for me to read but doesn't hurt the enjoyment much.

I really like the card printing out your stats as you press the button.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your comment!

Yeah, the 7 segment font is hard to read. I felt the game was rather tough too, but I needed it for the aesthetics haha.

Superb concept! after a few attempts my best score was 223 which i don't think is too bad. my only criticism would be the 7 segment display makes it hard to know when the numbers actually change. still a great game nonetheless

Developer

Thank you for the comment! 223 is really nice! Yep, I needed the 7 segment display font for the theme, but I felt the same way about how hard it was to read haha.
