How does your game fit the theme?
The Protagonist: You play as Count named DOWN, combining identity with the core mechanic. Ticking Timers: Every task and minigame is a literal countdown: failing to finish them in time directly causes your ship's health to drop. Decreasing Resources: Survival requires managing constantly counting down resources—food, hull integrity, and crew headcounts as you throw excess workers into the sea.

This game is hard! It was definitely annoying to keep getting stuck on parts of the ship or see crew members skip red tasks to join a further task that was already in progress. I guess that's part of the fun though :) Wish I could see at the end of the game how I did before returning to the main menu. Great polish and solid game loop

Audio and music was wonderful. game was also super solid amazing game
such a fun game and balanced very well! i wish it was a little bit easier to pick up the crew, but i have no other nitpicks besides that! props to whoever had to scream for when the crew goes overboard
Incredible game jam game! Had a ton of fun, great music, good audio feedback, fun minigames, balanced time management, everything was really well done. Great work team!
I had a lot of fun with this game. At first I was like what is the point in getting them to do tasks because they run and do them themselves then I saw later why putting crew to work is important. It has a good amount of humour in it too. A fun game, well done.
Fun concept! I ended up playing a lot more than I though I was going to. The minigames were great! I think the only thing I would add would be a list or icons in the corners of your screen to find mingames or a checklist or something
Pretty fun, I like the touch of throwing your crew overboard! I'm trying to do a crewless run
This was absolutely delightful! Your story premise was hilarious - literally sent it to the rest of my team as soon as I read it. The music and sounds were also great--very thematically appropriate--and the game loop intensity increasing as days go on was really cool. But honestly my favorite part was how satisfying that fishing minigame was - I normally hate fishing in games but you tuned the feel of this one just right. Very nicely done!
It’s pretty good, the concept was great and the artwork too. However, sometimes when I try to drag a crew member while moving, I miss them, and it happens quite often. Adding a feature like being able to hover over when arrow near a crew member to select them might help.
Hey everyone, I'm GDNB, the lead programmer on this game. We've received reports from several players about display scaling issues — where the game doesn't fit the screen correctly on itch.io. I'm sorry for the inconvenience!
If you run into this problem, try holding Ctrl and scrolling your mouse wheel to zoom the browser in or out until the game fits properly. That should do the trick. Thanks for your patience!
10/10 audio. The first time I threw a pirate overboard I couldn't stop laughing from the scream. Loved the frantic nature of it mixed with the little world events
Haha thank you so much for the 10/10! As the composer of the track, reading this made my day!
Fun behind-the-scenes: That scream was actually recorded by HAYU (our Game Designer) and tuned by Hanuuu (our Artist). HAYU was so embarrassed every time he heard himself get thrown overboard, so he’ll be thrilled to know his pain brought you joy!
Thanks for playing~
The art, music and the pace of the game is neat, couldn't ask for more. But I found the game to be a little repetitive and it took me a few minutes to figure out what red and blue icon means. Not a fan of this type of game but the vibe nail it!
Oh wow this was a harder game than I was expecting! I took a while in the beginning to understand what was going on but once I did it was very fun! I love how the music of the day is exactly the right length for a full day hahaha it's very fun
It feels nicely balanced in difficulty even if this is quite hard to actually finish. The length of a playthrough is long enough that I don't feel dissatisfied by not getting there, but rather I congratulate myself for making it this far hehe
I do have to say, the menu is not scaled correctly, it is way too zoomed in for some reason? Once in the game is worked perfectly fine but the menu itself is zoomed in and I cannot access the options.
But otherwise, good job!! This was very fun :D
