How does your game fit the theme?
I think my game fits the theme about 80%.))) You can interpret the countdown however you like. In my case, it’s a countdown of the days left in your life. We have a limited number of days to overcome this challenge.

Really beautiful game, with nice sound effects and music! Liked the gameplay as well, kind of reminded me of Slay the Spire somehow. Nice!

Interesting concept and lots of little trade off to consider. I won pretty easily on my first try (but maybe i was just lucky) so perhaps there should be more random events or even forced ones to make it more challenging ? And of course the art is beautiful and the UI feels very polished so congrats !

What a stylish art! Like the fact that cannibalism turn one man into 3 fish ;)

Hahaha, thanks!
Spot on—3 fish = 1 person)))

"Negative" feedback

It was hard to understand what the fatigue card did, I understand it clocks your deck and hand but It's description made me think it had another effect that I didn't quite figure out.

A way to look at your deck while you are choosing new cards after an expedition would be nice, I need to know what I do and don't need.

It was a little confusing at first, a small tutorial to tell you the goal is and what the UI in the top right means (which I figured out quickly, but it took few expeditions) would be great.

Positive Feedback

Even with all of that, I'm still giving this a 5 stars across the board. It was just too good not too. As soon as I opened up the game, I already knew it was gonna get a 5 star rating in both Audio and Art, and the more I played the more that was solidified. The narrative is great, and it was real fun to play even if it took a while for me to understand. Very very VERY good!

Thank you so much!
Thank you for the detailed feedback—it's very helpful. I'll do my best to make the game much bette

Such a strong entry. It was easy to understand, fun to play, and had a lot of personality. I really hope more people see this as you deserve more ratings. I loved your artstyle and the music. Well done!

Really fun and has a great art style! Perhaps a little too punishing later on, though that could easily just be a skill issue. I feel like this could easily be turned into a fun, full game!

The art style was great! I love deck building games and I love how you incorporated events mid gameplay. Really fun and interesting idea! I did feel at some point I could go on forever. I dont know how fast the difficulty scales but at some point your deck becomes so good you barely ever hit end turn.

Grate visuals and ui. I've lost all my wood and stuck.

The art looks super great, and I'm always down for a need deck builder! I did get death-spiralled on day 4 when needing an extra wood that i just didn't have, so that was a little annoying but I think this could be developed into a full game which would be super engaging!

Thank you very much!

Glad to hear it

Absolutely incredible! An amazing atmosphere, with music that really draws you into the struggle for survival, the concept is brilliant. I loved learning the game; I think I finally won on my 10th go! But it was so, so good! Well done!!!!!!!!!

Great art. Great music. I did get stuck a few times drawing dead. Still had fun.

The artwork was really nice and cozy. The music was also amazing. I was a little confused at the start with game mechanics I think you should add a tutorial.

Developer

Thanks!
There's an “Info” button there with a quick tutorial.

Pretty and consistent artwork and I really liked the overall vibes and narrative. Quite easy to get softlocked with a bit of bad luck but I think that it only adds to the experience - it should be hard & tough, the supplies should be constantly running out - this part you nailed :)

Beautiful game, controls feel satisfying. I think it suffers from lack of balancing and overall progression due to a game jam, but has potential to be a very good game!

A pretty good game! The art and music are absolutely fantastic, and the idea behind it is a good one. However, I think this game suffers from being for a game jam, as it feels like the gameplay isn't fleshed out a lot. You could, say, give survivors different stats to show if they'd be good for getting supplies, protecting the group from wild animals, or being the one who provides food for the Donner party. There's a lot you could do with this concept that unfortunately couldn't be explored. This applies to the narrative, too. A game like this has the potential to be a great branching story, and maybe choosing where to go and which survivors to keep. Overall, if you were to flesh out this game and make it a full game, I'm sure it would be great.

Developer

Thanks, buddy!

You really hit the nail on the head—I want to expand the game with characters later on.
