I used mostly unity asset store, and kennys itch.io assets + sfx from freesound.org and music from https://somewhatgood.bandcamp.com/. I've taken it from so many different artists that I can't list them all, but I checked that everything is in the public domain.

Super cool game!

Reminds me a lot of my own game called "Blade of reversal", obviously yours is much more advanced but the parry mechanic is close.

I really like the speed of the game.

I could see a lot of potential, would be cool to have a full story game with this.

Very good in every aspect, well done! :D

Are you kidding? This one is epic, it deserves more ratings! Great job!

i had alot of fun playing this one. the movement feels very smooth once you get a hang of it. polished combat and parries. Overall great work! :)

I unfortunately could not get this game to load, even though it looked very interesting. Because of this, I am going to abstain from rating.

player controls feel great once you get it down. this was super satisfying to play!

Submitted

Really fun! I thought the controls were too fast at first but I was totally wrong, just had to get good. Figuring out the grapple was a huge game changer and once I realized I could dash upwards I felt unstoppable. Amazing game feel. I also appreciated the free dash you get with attacks if you are moving from a certain range. One of those details that go a long way!

Very solid gameplay. I played for a pretty significant amount of time. I think there could be some more on-screen indicators for some controls, i.e. I forgot I could grapple, but besides that it was very satisfying wave murderer. Well done, the controls feel fantastic.

Really fun game! But I can't find the pickaxe :c

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks a lot! I can give you a hint on that one! The pickup only appears in a certain spot, at a certain time in the run, and it's only there for about 2 seconds. Hope it helps :)

That decode effect on the menu items got me before I even hit play, “Play”, “Armory”, etc. scrambling into place is such a small thing to bother with and it sets the tone right away. The green on the controls screen is spot on too.

Then the game itself is quick and tight, and so are the controls. Moving from one enemy to the next and grappling out between them has a really good rhythm to it once it clicks. I bet someone could get really good at this, there is a lot of ceiling in it. I did unlock the Steve, which felt like a small victory :)

One note from my run, I couldn’t tell whether the abilities have cooldowns on them. I’m guessing not, and that it’s on purpose to keep the pace up.

Thanks for giving Dawnfall a look as well, that was appreciated for sure. Are there plans to keep developing this one after the jam?

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I really wanted the menu to have some fun effects and match the tone of the game, so it's great that it landed before you even hit Play :D
And congrats on unlocking Steve, because I honestly thought nobody would find that one haha.
I definitely plan to add a few things I didn't have time for during the jam, and there's a good chance I'll keep developing this one further :D

Very satisfying to play, the controls are very tight, well done ! It's lacking some music though :'(

Congratulations :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Glad the controls felt good :) But, no music? There should be one track in the menu and one during the game, so that's weird, unless I misunderstand something.

Wow, great game. I had a great feeling, it looks and feels amazing. I can definitely see buying if this was full game without count down, even with count down it is amazing, maybe in full game, it can serve as timer mode.

Honestly, it's really solid! I had a lot of fun with it. I managed to get into a flow state, which was really satisfying.

The game looks and sounds great.

The movement feels good and fluid, although I missed having a double jump. I don't think it's really necessary thanks to the grappling hook, but I still found myself wanting one.

Great job!

THIS IS SOOO COOOL AND INSANE FOR A GAME JAM , the game is so fun , would have liked a download button , maybe after the jam , but BRO WELL DONE

Submitted

Neat entry! It feels so polished for a game jam.
And the grapple is a nice addition to the game. :D

Congrats! <3

Damn pretty impressive for a game jam game. Feels pretty good and looks nice.

Honestly not the most creative or innovative gameplay, but incredibly well made!
Feels smooth to play and satisfying to hit the enemies, everything you could wish for with this kind of game.
Also a very polished menu, feels and looks very nice.

Really good job.

I had to switch browsers to play it but it was worth it! After realizing I could grapple the game got a lot more fun :p

The game runs really smooth for a 3d browser game. The sounds a nice and crunchy and the menu and UI is super solid.

Awesome work!

Oh wow that was a great experience! I love feeling fast as hell in games but that often comes with control issues, especially since I don't have great reflexes, but this felt very smooth! I'd love to play the downloadable version after the game jam so I can play with better graphic and fps and try to keep at it until I have most of the weapons >:D

Kudos to everyone on the team, this is extremely solid and feels great to play!

I love how polished everything is, I really like the audio and music, the animations, everything tbh. I really love this.
Pretty hard also haha (I wanted to get those two last achievements, but dang, I couldn't :[ )
For a sec I thought each of these had like something different to them, but it's just visual I think, if you were to keep updating the game, that could be cool!!

Really well done!!

Developer

Appreciate this so much! Yeah, it's pretty hard to get all the achievements, and yes, they're only visual for now. I did think about changing their stats too, but I didn't have enough time for that - maybe after the jam :D

Submitted

This is super cool! movement is so cool. Unfortunately since it's a web build I know there's limitations and it was very laggy for me, which affected the quality of my gameplay. But I love the visuals, graphics, audio fit pretty well, nice job

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! Did you try to set graphics to low in main menu? Also you should check if you have hardware acceleration turned on in your browser!

thanks for the help!
