How does your game fit the theme?
the countdown is not an arbitrary digital timer, it is the literal breath. The entire game loop centers on a single held breath. The moment your diver submerges, your breath begins counting down. Every decision, how deep to plunge, how many pearls to grab, and when to turn back is weighed directly against this ticking clock.

Very cool game the art is so good. If you have a second, I’d super appreciate a rating back on my game The Last Light

I really liked the art and the vibe of this game! It felt very cozy swimming down with the music and looking at all the cool backgrounds. I do agree with cachandlerdev that the upgrades allow you to go further down but once you're able to make it down there they kind of lose their meaning. If you added some bosses or dungeons at certain depths that might help to make the upgrades feel more powerful. Really great job on the visuals and feel of the game though, you really nailed the ocean aesthetic!

thanks you, I was going for the cozy style and as you go down it starts to feel less comfortable to achieve the pressure and lack of clues you have but I didn't have the time to do this properly. aslo I was planing to add some caves and ships that have bosses or different enemies to give it more lore. I might do this in the future.

The art looks good and everything seems pretty well polished, but I feel like something's missing with this one. You're going down to get money so you can go down farther, but the only reason to go down farther is to...get more money so you can get upgrades to go down farther? Maybe it would help if the player had some kind of larger objective (e.g. he knows that there's something at the bottom of the ocean, and he's trying to make his way down there)? It just feels a little aimless right now.

Developer

thank you for the useful feedback, was planing to add a cave that has some air in it and a boss fight, but didn't have the time to do this, however I might revisit the game in the future and tackle it as my first steam game or so.

Makes sense. We all have to make tradeoffs in game jams. XD

loved the art and  the idea... fun game

Developer(+1)

thanks, the idea is actually inspired by the pearl diving which was common in uae and golf region in the past. as for the art it was all free assets from itch.io
