How does your game fit the theme?
I made a story about how the deadline countdown was too short and super scary.

Doomsday looks like such a cool game, I hope you have better luck as you continue development.  Even though this wasn't your initial plan this story was still enjoyable!

I love this meta game! lol I will be waiting for the full release of Doomsday fs!

Submitting a game about not being able to submit a game was definitely not something I expected from this jam lmao

no i didnt know there was no collision box. I had to try walking off the path after you said lol. And also I followed you. :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm glad I got someone with that one :D

Turning the missed deadline into the submission itself is a great move — I don't think I've seen a jam entry pullthat off before.

It also hit closer to home than I'd like. We nearly didn't make it either — if Mark hadn't extended by an hour, ours wouldn't have gone up at all.

Looking forward to the real thing whenever it's done.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m glad you made it in before the deadline 😉

Aw man, looking at the actual art for the game I was really sad to see that it wasn't out. Very cool for you to take us on your development journey real quick though and I wish you luck on your future endeavors!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I plan to release the intended game in August :-)

This was brilliant, sad to see doomsday didn't come - wait that sounds wierd to say - but the narrative of these unfortunate series of events captivated me as I perused this art gallery. The artwork looks great, music and voice acting also fit the tone well.

I hope you manage to bring doomsday upon us all - wait, again that sounds worse than I intend. I'll be waiting for it :)

Thank you so much! I hope to bring D-Day to you soon (from the comfort of behind your computer screen! 😅)

Interesting and unique idea, just not for me

Thanks for giving it a shot! :-)

There are no boundary walls, meaning i do not have to interact with the actual game.

Sound did not work and there were no bounding boxes so i could walk anywhere. I think not having working sound made me miss a lot because of all the sound boxes i ran into.

Developer(+2)

Sorry that happened to you!

The game was tested by a few different people and we never encountered any sound issues. The missing collisions were also explained by the narration, so I can understand how that might have been confusing, or a generally disappointing experience. I highly encourage you to try playing the game again, maybe try in a different browser to see if that fixes the sound issue!

Kind regards, Ogotu.

I tried it on Brave and Firefox. What browser did you run it on, I would love to give it another chance

Developer(+1)

Microsoft Edge, haha. Hope you can get it working! 😅😅
