Great polish to the game in general, we had pretty similar ideas!
Nice and simple game! i'm horrible at stopping times. i'd be horrible at disarming bombs T^T One More Minute!!! by birdyowl
I didnt watch the GMTK vid on how he designed Word Play upgrades (ik fake fan) but looking at your upgrades I think I could guess what the video was all about. Trade-offs. At least I think (I didnt watch the video) if it is good job you really nailed that inspo.
Fun little game. I like the implementation of the timer as a pure roguelike thing. My main critic is that I think the UI should be more cohesive (for example using only 1 or 2 fonts that are similar)
The game loop is well implemented and is fun for a while. I think there is room to make this a fuller game by playing around with the shop and powerups!
nice game, it is fun but it gets boring during to repetitiveness after a while. for majority of my first run I didn't know you could go under and just presumed it was either death or 0 points. once I found out it made the 2nd run much easier (still only ended with a score of about 60k). I like the simplistic artwork/audio. it feels like it fits well with the simplicity of the gameplay
So awesome and so simple! Love the powerups in the shop, especially the ghostly one. Could easily see this as a whole game by adding more powerups and synergies. Nice work!
anything can be a roguelike these days :)
Really creative ideas for the shop items! I liked the ghost
