Great game, kept getting stuck and the crafting UI was a little confusing but otherwise i had fun

This game is very fun and polished I actually was able to sleep for 14 days as i spammed E when i was close to the bed haha. I really enjoyed this game. Good job.

Love the water shader but yeah got stuck trying to get the second propeller since I can't shoot more harpoons. Like the creativity in making the countdown be about saving someone who have limited life support time tho!

This boat moved in such a fun way, super duper polished :)

Very cool game, the fish were a bit unforgiving but overall great idea and fun execution

Pretty cool game! I wasn’t able to hand in the propeller, but the game has been quite enjoyable otherwise. You’ve established the game-feel well, and that seems to be the game’s main strength. The boat and the submarine, and the water ripple effect were especially delightful. I was skeptical about the crafting minigame at first, and though I eventually came to enjoy it, I still think it feels out of place. The writing seems neglected and rushed. I appreciated how central the countdown mechanic was, though the time limit was rather quick to outgrow and easy to stop worrying about. If you’ve budgeted a polishing pass after the jam, I hope you can take a look at these areas. I’d love to see this game refined and published!

Very cool idea. I ran into some issues but i enjoyed its vibe!

I had to wait floating on the surface to get in the boat at times because of the waves, and the resources resetting in the next day don't make much sense. I also didn't see the point in needing to do a little minigame to craft an item. I didn't understand what you were meant to do until I read the description to find out you had to dive to get parts and craft something.

Nice and chill :). I was surprised I didn't have to return back to the surface before my oxygen ran out. There were unfortunately quite a few bugs: my oxygen tanks kept doubling in count (I had some 44!), I was asked to make the suit after already having it, I couldn't interact with the hatch. But I still had some fun and appreciate the story tidbits :)!

Heyy thanks for the feedack! Yeah sadly there are some known issues that we couldn't fix in time (even tho i thought we fixed the oxy tank bug XD). Hope you still had a fun time though :)

Wow! Really love the shader for the water. Collecting and crafting was really fun as well. The only thing I ran into was that I could not pass the propeller into the submarine. The rest of the experience was really fun though, great work! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

Developer

Not being able to pass items to the submarine is a known issue. We unfortunately weren't able to fix it in time. I'm sorry.

I'm so happy that you liked my shader :D

The game is nice, for a gamejam game ! i had some trouble to figure what to do, but after that, it was fun, and i liked the audio in the sea !

Developer

eeee thank you so much! i had a lot of fun making the sounds :)

That's a very ambitious project for a game jam, the game probably needs a polish pass but it was still fun, great job!

Crazy amount of content for a jam game! Really well polished, and it’s cool that there’s a narrative and a proper sense of progression. Great game!

This game is really good had so much fun playing it

On the title screen tho am i ment to be able to move the submarine and buttons

This game could be scaled up super and become a multi hour long exprience

Developer

Thank you!

Yes, you can move the camera in the main menu. It was originally for testing purposes but we decided to leave it in the game because it's funny

The art and shaders are great! Well done on this game!

I liked how you created a mini-experience similar to Dave the Diver! haha I’m sure making this game was a lot of fun, since you managed to build a cool narrative, add a crafting mechanic, and give it a real sense of progression too. Congrats on the submission!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you!

Interestingly, nobody on the team has ever played Dave the Diver.

Love the art it looks really nice! The swimming was also fun but it might be better if the camera was a bit larger just because when swimming down you can't see too far below you. Sound design was great too, clearly communicated roughly how much air I had left before I needed to surface. Music was super chill.

I love the concept of having to save someone trapped in a submarine like this! The tutorialization was sparse, but I got the hang of the crafting mechanic after spending a day to faff around with it.

However, I got stuck at the point where I had to deliver a propeller to the submarine itself: there was a hint prompting me to 'pass over the deliverable to the submarine', but no matter how hard or fast I mashed the E key, I could not interact with the submarine and Nyla remains trapped :(     Either I did something wrong, or it was a bug, and I have no idea which. Either way, loved it!

Developer

thanks for you feedback.

We know about the issue but weren't able to implement a fix in time unfortunately.
