This game makes a farting sound for a several seconds, and then loads the level. I jump and it goes back to the main menu. Windows Firefox BTW.

Strange... if it doesn't work well in the browser maybe try the windows download provided. Also, see my comments or the game description for controls. Spacebar is not meant to be used to jump as there is an issue where it brings you to the main menu. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for giving the game a try regardless.

Loved how the timer was represented by the liquid and the physics tied to the amount of weight I had! Took me awhile especially when I was on low weight and jumped to platforms I could not see and had to memorise haha

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I think it's a great idea! I found the second stage the hardest. After that, it went smoothly—as long as the fuel gauge wasn't too low. It's fun, but it's also a little frustrating at the same time.

Thanks for playing, I am glad you enjoyed.

Was struggling for a bit using space to jump before I read the comments, but cool submission! I really dig the art/visuals and the sound effects- super satisfying!  Definitely got challenging for me but I enjoyed it :)

Developer

Thanks! I am really glad you like the art and visuals. That is the main part of development I am really trying to improve at because I have never been a big artist.

I love the art  in this game. Also the thing where your time is represented by the amount of liquid in the vessel is prettty cool. I found it difficult to play some levels though. Most of them have these jumps where you have to land on a platform that you cannot see and that just made things very difficult. The game is great but can be frustrating at times. Good job!

Developer

Thanks, I am glad you liked the art! I noticed the difficulties you are talking about. At the time of development I chalked it up to simply being part of the game's difficulty, but there wasn't much external playtesting so I wasn't sure how it would turn out.  Thank you for the feedback.

An incredible take on this years theme! Not only is the countdown visually represented by the decreasing liquid, but it also changes your weight/jump as it progresses. Something I have not seen before.  Well done.

The pixel art is also top notch!

I wasn't entirely sure why I kept respawning a lot of the time, but I just saw your comment. I really liked the concept of being able to move faster/jump higher as your liquid ran out. That's a very clever idea! Love the beaker as the character too

Thank you for playing, I am glad you like. And yeah, sorry about the bug. I really hate how I never noticed it because I always just used W to jump.

Developer

NOTE: There is a known bug where the spacebar sends you back to the Main Menu. Thankfully you can also use W or Up to jump, so I would simply avoid using the spacebar. Sorry for the inconvenience, it is a 2 second fix, but I don't think it would be fair to make modifications to my game after the submission period is over.

The main character's design is really good!

Thanks so much!
