How does your game fit the theme?
The central mechanic is monitoring workers in a warehouse and manually counting down each time an item is taken from the shelf and sent to shipping. Each level also begins and ends with a (traditional) countdown which I tried my best to polish as much as possible.

Cool game! Simple idea, but still interesting!

Developer

Thank you very much!

Simple Idea but great execution, from the random rotational variations on the ranking letters, to the little animations on the robots and the bright screen. Very polished game!

Developer

Thank you so much for noticing! :)

I too love making mini details. Most people dont notice but some do, and then its worth it. This years gmtk I could add too many though :(

Developer

Are you kidding? Mock-Mock is super polished, a great experience! :)

This was an interesting and creative idea for a game. It's a simple idea, but fun and pretty well executed. It gets pretty tricky near the end! Very good for a first game!

If there was anything I'd personally change about the game, I think I would make there be a distinct sound effect each time you tick a counter, because sometimes I wasn't 100% sure if I properly hit the button or not without looking at the counter as I was pressing it. I'd also probably add A, S, and D labels to the counters to make it more clear that you can use those buttons as well.

Those are all valid suggestions, thank you very much! Button feedback has been the most requested feature by far, that part could have used a little bit more work :D

This game makes me feel dumb lmao

Really creative overall! Good job with delivering it!

Developer

I am glad you liked it! Sorry for making you feel that way, it wasn't obviously intentional, I could have wrote a tutorial or something to explain the mechanics a little bit better :(

what i learnt is that i should never get a job related to this... that said, it was a really good game! and im just now realizing there were keyboard controls so i was just doing things the hard unknowingly, but overlal it was a fun little game! nice job!

Developer(+1)

I would like to think that there are no jobs similar to this but unfortunately I know that it is false :(

Thank you for playing and thank you for the praise, and I'm sorry I didn't make it clearer about the keyboard controls, next time I'll think of a better way to communicate these info to the player! :D

Loved the idea! Easy at first, quickly gets really crazy and chaotic. Good you included keyboard controls, otherwise it would be even harded :D Well done for your first game! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I call playing with mouse only "hard mode" :) And thank you for playing to the end!

Really excellent game! The last level was especially chaotic and fun, like a complicated version of 3-card-monte. Some more mechanics for item or robot movement could be interesting in expanding the complexity too. The art style is very nice and the setup gave me a nice little chuckle. Great submission!

Developer

Thank you, I wanted to make the last level a little bit unfair by upping the difficulty and I had lots of fun with it :D I agree with the additional mechanics, I had some ideas for making the game longer and more complex but in the end I scrapped them because I wouldn't have had time to polish the rest of the game; I figured it was best to ship a game that was a little more polished even if it was shorter overall :)
