Cool game and great graphics! Though I find the gameplay to be a bit too tedious for me :/
The game is very heavily based on counting so it is fun if you want to improve your counting skills. That was the first of it’s kind I saw in the jam. A very narrative driven game which was nice, but the gameplay was a bit too slugish (too much counting of the coins, when e.g. I get dropped >20 copper coins) which took away from it. The art, music and other aspects are well executed. Good submission overall. Thank you!
Neat game, Very interesting idea. I would love to have a bookmark, or if it just remembered the page I had last open. Also, there is an issue when multiple things overlap. For me, I had the book on top of the counting device, and then it moved both, and also still registered the button press on submit. So for one, it'd be good if things had an order, and it only moved the thing on top, and second, it'd be good if the counter's button presses only register if you press, and don't hold.
The characters designs are great, and the voice adds such a comedic element, I like it. Nice game.
This was a fun game! The voice acting was very catchy and added a lot to the already good art and character design. I saw another comment point this out but I think there should be a +1000 button to make counting coins faster on some levels.
Btw, inflation update when?
im up coutin my coins!! who up countin yo coins!!!
great game! alas, it has reminded me how bad i am at simple math and i cant be bothered to pull out a calc (short for calculator) so i didn't make it all the way through - tired out - but still had a fun time with it!
I appreciate all the work that's gone in to make the coins kinetically and audibly nice to handle, and a like the touch of the UI being physics-interactable! i like that there's lore, but it's not overwhelming, and it informs the mechanics. i appreciate you can still progress even if you mess up, because i can imagine it could get a lot more tedious otherwise. of course the voicelines are amazing, even the player reacting to their own score! the characters all have so much character! the art, voicelines, and dialogue work together well. everything comes together quite nicely! there's a steady introduction of new mechanics that's not too overwhelming to understand, mixed in with a bit simpler tasks to give a bit of a break which i appreciate.
as some minor notes on qol, it would be great if clicking during dialogue skipped the text animation, before skipping the whole textbox! i accidentally skipped dialogue a few times. would also be great if i could skip back to the book index quickly, besides closing and reopening the book. also on one or two occasions the scale seemed to bug out when weighing multiple coins. but these are all minor nitpicks, expected in a game jam, and overall i had a great time!
I laughed every time somebody yelled at me to count the coins :D
Also - thank you for making all those things on the table (including UI) physics based objects to be moved around - that was funny as well.
The concept is cool, very Papers, Please-esque but I'll be honest - the math is getting really tiring (especially after playing so many jam games :))
The character art is awesome, one of the better games I've played this jam. Love it.
Cool idea and very cute art ,I love your character design, nice job!
This was a fun one! Very creative turnaround of mundane tasks into a surprisingly engaging gameplay loop, almost Papers Please-esque.
I love the variations of the voice clip and how accusative it feels like they know I'm about to get it wrong. The challenge ramps up nicely and there's lots of space for more adding even more mechanics and story beats along with it. It's a lovely core gameplay loop and nice visual charm to sell itself.
Very cute game but i'm not that smart to play it. The math is not mathing with this game.
POV of me playing the game.

sometimes i think im good at math... then i play this game :,( but anyways this has an INSANE ammount of content for a game jam, very good job
