Aesthetically it's a fantastic experience. Thank you.
I don't usually play card games so it was very strange that I build a deck and the whole interaction unfolds automatically afterwards. It's an interesting design decision. It may be better to somehow telegraph/mentally prepare the player. As a new experience the choices at the start can be overwhelming while the execution can be underwhelming - too much control then none. Does that make sense?
I managed to win by a lot (20 years) but honestly I have no idea if it was because of good choices or chance. I guess the game was not clear enough (to me).
It's an interesting idea and well executed. There's potential to expand it. Good luck
The game looks and sounds good. The gameplay loop is working.
The gameplay itself is a bit shallow though. It's important to have combos likae playing progressive magic and doubling a card effect, but all cards which interact with opponent's deck are just random (or I had to pay attention to card backs of ,y opponent, but this information didn't get to me).
Maybe having some jokers in hand for a conterspell or being able to chuse one of the few resolution of the card when it is played could make it better. Obviously it's a game jam and you didn't have much time so great job!
took me a while to understand but solid concept! Good job!
I love that you only see the type of card your opponent plays, not the card itself—it completely changes the dynamic and forces you to really think ahead. At first, it feels like pure luck, but once you start building combos and guessing their moves, it becomes incredibly satisfying.
The atmosphere and polished vibe are fantastic. Can’t wait to see a leaderboard and a full version!
It felt like slay the spire a bit, i think some of the illustrations of the cards were from there, like empowered
I think if the cards were resolved every six hours would've been better for planning
The cards visuals were a bit behind of the incredible scenery and witches.
The resolvation (is this a real word? lol) of the cards could have showed more information to know why it was doing what it did, bc it was confusing sometimes why the value was like that, the different combos that were further away in progression made it difficult to follow both set of cards
I liked the choices we were presented, I had to think further ahead to create combos which I really liked.
Like the vibe and how the age theming corresponds to the theme. Art, music, and gameplay feel polished and overall satisfying. Would like to see language localization and a full game with a leaderboard and history. (needs more explanation on why some cards highlight green when chosen and others violet).
Very smart game. At first I thought it was pure luck, but when you start understanding the kinds of cards that can be played, it becomes a very cool mind game.
I really enjoyed the game. I especially liked the fact that you did not know what card the opponent played but you did know what type of card they played.
