How does your game fit the theme?
The entire game revolves around a 20-second countdown. Your lantern only stays lit for 20 seconds before going out, forcing you to constantly manage your limited light by finding candles and wax while exploring the haunted mansion. Every second counts, making the countdown the core of both the gameplay and the tension.

I really liked the art, but I was very confused. Why can't I have more than one key. What keys go to which chest? I didn't know and that sorta frustrated me. Thanks for making the game though!!

Very cool game concept is so good. If you have a second, I’d super appreciate a rating back on my game The Last Light

The art style is very stylish—I really liked it. It also feels good to move the character around and interact with objects. I didn't enjoy the gameplay itself all that much; I got lost quite often, and the experience is rather repetitive. Also, some items are quite tricky to pick up. Otherwise, it’s a pretty enjoyable game. Good luck!

Ooooo spooky!

The lantern being the timer counting down is interpreted really well! The fact that I have to move sooner to get the things I need to beat the game made the scary gameplay more interesting! The artwork and the intro were also clean! Great job!

Played at https://twitch.tv/hedge_in Part 3 @ 53:00 <3. Very spoopy! And the art was very charming!

I really like the way how a running  out lantern can interrupt your vision and your ability to interact with the objects. Also like the music and those small details on the paintings and the character. Nice game to play with when you're a fan of horror and mysteries!

Really cute art and interesting narrative and concept! good job!

I've seen a lot of time-based games, but I really liked the context you gave to yours! The long interactions while the light gradually faded made me surprisingly stressed. Great job creating that sense of tension, and good job on the game!

The game's concept is great.

It's really fun having to figure out which candles to use to keep the lantern lit.

A really interesting little game.

The horror game atmosphere is incredibly immersive; the rate at which the candles burned out kept me on edge.

It was reassuring to find interactive objects and candle refills in the same spot.

Unfortunately, the game ended just as I found the diamond—before I could relight a candle. The art, interaction design, and gameplay are fantastic!

It was a fun experience! You got the horror vibes well without relying on jumpscares, I just wished the ending and lose screens were a little more scarier/story driven instead of just text, but everything else is done really well! The audio every time your lantern is at 10s is a nice touch making me aware but also more stressed to find where the candles are. Also cool detail when 10s are left the paintings are a lot more scary!  Well Done! :D

really great! i got the diamond but got haunted (: great job pulling this together in a short jam! really enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere, opening comic strip was also awesome

Game is really fun! I did run into a bug that if a key falls out of a drawer after interacting and it is too close to another interactable object (lantern refill in my case), you can't pick the key up. I think it was on the 3rd floor where this happened. Couldn't seem to get the prompt to pop up to pick the key up. Other than that, the game feels really good to play. I thought I would feel rushed, but it's fairly easy to find new light sources as you play through it. Really cool concept. Will be back to try it again in the future!

The comic style intro sets the mood! I wish it had a proper "game over screen" that is more than a text but the rest is great, it's fun to manage the timer and get all the pieces!

The comic style intro is super sick and I love the concept, the SFX audio that plays when half the time has passed could be a little less jarring but it does make the game alot more spooky, the fact that the lantern also dims out based on the countdown is a nice touch! The art of the mansion itself is really sick and it tells a story on its own, overall really great work!
