super fun little game! i enjoyed it a lot! a simple idea executed very well - i like all the little twists added to the mechanics at each level, how each enemy felt unique and thematic. i liked the little through-line story, especially the little twist at the saloon! from the bat i was a fan of all of the character names, and the little bits of dialogue to flavour the levels. even the different noises for the different character dialogue! i found it really creative all the ways the ui was manipulated for the different enemies (i chuckled when the speech bubbles first popped over the timer), and though i did find a few of the mechanics a little frustrating, overall i had a really good time with the game. doesn't overstay it's welcome, and finishes with a satisfying conclusion. feels very polished and complete, and a fan of the artwork as well of course. pretty much no notes, this one's a winner in my books :)
tangential note, but after losing a few rounds (the last life of de vile got me a lot of times!), i made a little more fun for myself by holding my mouse like a gun in a holster, and whipping it up to shoot. immersive B)
