I like the game! I couldn't quite figure out what ability 2 did. I feel like the game could benefit from running a bit faster? Feels a bit sluggish, but the mechanics are def there and fun!

Developer

I was wondering what i could do to show the player what the second ability did better, its a toggle ability that activates on next hit, it currently turns the icon green but wasn't sure what else I could do (nor did I have much time to mull on it). I did have plans to redo the animations and make the gameplay feel better but didn't have the time, as with a few other things like enemy ai. Thanks for the feedback!

Nice game! I didn't get exactly what the #2 and #3 skills do but #3 is totally op lol. I killed all the enemies with it. I also loved that you can dodge enemy attacks, it makes the game feel more tense. It would be great if there was a run or sprint button too.

Hi, thanks for playing our game! #2 toggles on an ability that summons all your spirits to damage any enemies within a radius, and activates when you hit an enemy. #3 summons a spirit onto each enemy (provided you have enough spirits) and deals damage to them. A sprint button would be a great idea, we could have also introduced bigger and more interesting level layouts with it! Thanks for the support, we really appreciate it!

It was satisfying to figure out the attack animations to duck in and do damage without getting hit. I couldn't manage to trigger the 2nd ability.

Developer(+1)

That might have needed to be explained, the second ability is a toggle that summons a circle of spirits when you hit an enemy. Thanks for playing!

Loved the different abilities you can get. The combat was fun too, having to move in and out of enemies ranges. Great entry!

Thank you!

Really interesting idea of adding depth to the game with the abilities. Just feel that combat and movement could be a bit faster-paced. Nevertheless, congrats!

Developer

Thought the same thing but didn't have enough time to improve it. Thanks for you feedback!

it got super enjoyable to be able to chain the abilities together, especially when the enemies were all clumped together! Would love to see some more abilities and descriptions! The sound effects were also super lovely and made me feel even more immersed!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! Had some other abilities in mind like a block/parry but didn't have enough time.

Satisfying gameplay - very easy to understand w/o any words, that is cool, and also good sound - these footsteps and echo sounded ominously and did atmosphere!

Glad you enjoyed, thanks for your feedback!

Awesome game!!! The sword feels good to use, plus the particle effects are very satisfying.

Developer

Thank you! Wish i could have had more time for the animations but sound and particles go a long way :)
