Wow, this was really cool! It got too difficult too fast for me (I ended up pressing with intuition timing more than counting hahah), but for a jam where you need to show gameplay quickly, it's all good. I loved the art and funny cat interactions. One of my fav games from what I tried :) Well done!
Loved the idea, it was pretty fun! I loved the cute button and the cat’s paw. I wish you guys turned this into a full game after the jam, and maybe make it harder, like adding more cats or maybe making the button run around the screen or something like that. Splendid job overall!
btw, If you have a spare minute, I’d really appreciate it if you could check out my game and leave a rating too ☺️☺️: /jam/gmtk-jam-2026/rate/4818884
Pretty creative and cool game, liked it a lot. However, once it says the thank you message, it still lets you play, and the timer is WAAAAAY off, like 4 full seconds. Also I found it a bit jarring that the music was completely out of tempo with the timers, but I guess that’s intentional.
Such a creative idea for the theme, I really like how I have to do math during the countdown LOL.
Ahah thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed it :D
Great game, kinda reminds of the times playing simple flash games that get progressively harder.
If I were to leave some feedback I would increase the "juice factor" on the button click to be a little bit more satisfying when I hit at the right moment. Great game nonetheless!
Super simple to pick up and insanely fun! Props for packing in so many levels, too. Also, the cat-paw aesthetic is absolutely adorable—easily my favorite part!
Thanks so much, that means a lot! I loved your game too :D
Very cool game the art is so good. If you have a second, I’d super appreciate a rating back on my game The Last Light
Thanks a lot! And will do :D
Love the concept and it works very well with the theme of the jam. Also very cute style! Deceptively hard as well.
My experience in Rhythm Doctor really helped out here. Out of all the "count out the timing correctly" games in the jam I've played (at least like 10+) this is definitely my favorite, great presentation and gimmicks were entertaining.
Hehe my childhood game with friends! Congrat on your entry (cuz the art so cute :3)
Very fun and challenging game! I fount that tapping in rhythm of the countdown is a cheat code hahaha, but when the cats came it didn't help anymore.
Overall great game!
Thanks a lot! :D Yes I like the idea of coming up with strategies for keeping count, and then adding curveballs XD
Thanks for playing!
really nice take on the "nail a countdown" idea! cat paws i naturally loved, but also solving the simple math problems while keeping track of the timer was devilishly clever. my only request would be an ending that tells me how i did! i got to level 26 and was like... ah i think this is going to keep going forever! would have loved to see a performance breakdown
Thanks a lot for the feedback! And totally, the ending is slightly anticlimactic, sorry! We definitely have some ideas for adding stats and possibly things like a star rating per level so you can go back and improve your accuracy, so it's great to hear that you'd want that to see :D
Thanks for playing!
From making you do multiple things to the countdown decreasing in a different decrement, the twists this game introduces to the countdown mechanic are really fun!
The only complaint I have, albeit a small one, is the music. The music is a tad bit distracting though as it is a little too loud and doesn't sync up with the countdown, I found it easier to play without the music as a result. If the music maybe decreased in volume or changed to be not as obstructive as you are counting down the number in your head (maybe it changes volume once the number disappears?) it would be easier to keep track with the music turned on
That's only a small nitpick though. The assets are great and the game is pretty polished looking!
Thanks a lot!!
that's totally understandable and I was definitely planning on adding some settings for the volume. I quite liked the idea of the music being distracting XD But I'm definitely going to mess around with this idea of changing the volume as the number fades as that might work really well. But definitely some UI to adjust/mute the audio is needed if nothing else.
Thanks a lot fot the feedback, and I'm really glad you liked it! :D
Haha that was a delightful experience! You really made a good game about pressing a button. Thats great! I liked how the button was such a little weirdo :D There is probably some analogy to be made about a button liking to be pressed but making it hard for you xd
Thanks so much! Honestly I was nervous that it'd just be a boring mechanic but we seemed to manage it! :D hmm yeah I've tried to not think too hard about what I'm implying with that XD I'm glad you enjoyed it!
It could be very repetitive and boring so easily which goes to show how well you managed to push the simple mechanic to its limits! Thats the type of creativity that I love to see in jams :)
A VERY GOOD GAME!! Well polished and fun! My favorite levels were the math levels. Great job!
Thanks so much!! I'm really glad you enjoyed it :D
Do you like jazz?
Great take on the theme, incredibly well polished. I'm a sucker for a rhythm game and you had some great rhythms in there. Nice to see a simple idea executed and expanded upon so well. Great job!
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it! Thanks for playing :D
It was really easy for me im kinda good at keeping the timing , its like when my friends tell me to call in 10 mins i wait exactly 10 mins before i call them back
Ah fair enough! :) I definitely have some ideas for later levels that'll make it harder :D
Thanks for playing!
Nice game, at first I tought it would have been easy, up until cats started showing up, and the level with the cats on the spaceship was pretty hard to stay focused. Really nice game. Well done!
Ahah thanks a lot! :D
love the simplicity and the vibes! very polished little project, well done!
Thanks a lot, glad you liked it! :D
