I mean – this is biased, since this is my all time favorite genre, but this was super fun and the execution of the enemies, attacks, dodging patterns, and general movement and game feel was amazing. Sure there could’ve been a few more juice things squeezed in to get a bit more out of it, but it had the essentials down to communicate it. And importantly, the pacing felt really good.

I’ve found it’s difficult in these type of games to give people a clear goal and also enough pressure, while still allowing them to feel powerful and in control, and somehow you managed to do both, even in what I consider a pretty “jam scoped” game. Hopefully that sounds like a compliment, because it is. It’s clear more could be done to improve this, but you nailed the execution of the things that mattered most. 5/5 in enjoyment from me, and really nice design, style, sound and general creativity with the level ups.

One nitpicky thing is that I wish the level ups were a little more clear as to what they did, I wasn’t sure until trying them out, so some of them felt a little funny. I did really like the premise of them happening on timers though – so much that I would 100% want to see this fleshed out into a full game.

Anywho, really really nice work, genuinely, even though it was simple, probably one of my top 10 from the jam out of the 60 or so I’ve played. :)

Really interesting use of the jam's theme

Like others have said, I think the elevator countdown is really smart. It's pretty difficult to survive all the floors but the controls were intuitive and responsive. Good work!

I really liked the music! But on floor 3, there was a bug were the countdown didn't start and my gun didn't start shooting, so I got softlocked. Fun game though!

I love the style -elevators that slowly count down and power-ups directly tied to the countdown are just perfect. Great game jam entry!

For a roguelike, the upgrades were really unique! I like how they utilized the countdown timer!

Waiting for the elevator was a genius way to incorporate the theme.
