How does your game fit the theme?
you start on the twelfth floor of a tower and must explore the lower floors in order to find the different endings, each floor is represented by a number (1,12) and as you explore the tower you will be counting down the floor numbers. the floors are also designed to fit the number they represent (11 is 1+1=11, 9 is a 99c shop , 7 is a casino to test your luck and etc.))

Super interesting interpretation, I like the idea and the puzzles I was able to solve were cool, though I felt stuck quite a bit and am a far way off all the endings (could I maybe get some clues?)
Apart from that I like how bold the art is, it adds to the games feel. I could have done with some subtitles for spoken parts to help me hear what they say.
I appreciate the feedback. For some reason subtitles never crossed my mind even though I had a script written down. Congrats on reaching getting to any of the endings.
I don't know what endings you reached but given how far you likely got, following should be useful to reach endings
1. Being wrong on floor 4
2. There is an ending for buying on the building on floor 1. In order to achieve this you need to avoid bankrupting the casino. You'll want to have negative lives to spawn on floor 6, if you take the pot of gold (the casino's money) before enter you should be able to bet 10x your current money and although you die the casino will obtain everything you own. Once you have over a million go to floor 1 and buy the building.
3. There is one for bankrupting the casino
4. There is one for entering the house not as 104
5. There is an ending for solving the main puzzle which requires solving floor 4 and the real floor 6. For the floor 6 u don't need to memorize the answer as when you get the code you can type in it the top left and just copy it so you can then paste it when u get to the floor.
And the last 2 endings is by solving floor 10 when having last seen floor 2 instead of floor 11 and solving floor 3 when having last see floor 11 instead of floor 2 (which I didn't fully realize until I tested it but is already done at that point).
Very interesting and creative puzzle game.
I'm glad you think so
I am terribly sorry, but I just can't figure out how to get past the first puzzle, and it is driving me crazy!
The
numberssquares, Mason, what do they mean?!Do you have a walkthrough posted somewhere?
I unfortunately don't, I might make something after the jam, I'm not sure. but if you hover over of click this link and look at the url you an see how to solve the first puzzle this (doing this way to avoid spoilers for anyone reading this). If you can't click the link or see it just feel free to dm me on discord (patrickbutsmart) or something, idk
Ahh, I see, thank you.
Now knowing that answer, I will offer feedback that the first puzzle is too programmer specific to be solved by a general audience.
If that's deliberate, and your target audience is programmers, then that's fine though.
Yeh Some people seemed to struggle with the puzzle whilst others didn't, and it was something I was worried about however I couldn't really think of any other puzzles where the hint 1+1=11 would work whilst without becoming trivial and it being something to do with the number 10. I guess in a sense the target audience is programmerish since most people in gamejams end up being programmers but after the first puzzle the programmeriness of the first puzzle isn't really there
Interesting game. the puzzles are well designed
I'm glad to hear you think so
Very nice, clever take on the theme.
glad to hear you think so. I was a bit worry if people would notice how it fits the theme as whether it depended heavily on how well executed it was
This is a pretty clever and fun game, i like itt !
I'm glad to hear you think so
Well this is interesting. Prefacing this by saying that I am not a puzzle game enjoyer, I am fine with them as an addition to something but I don't usually play them on their on. As such this was somewhat of a challenge as the floors are a bit difficult for my mush brain to handle.
However after spending a bit and solving the puzzles I would say that once you solve them, their design feels interesting and clever.
I rate the programmer highly, it is awesome.
The background sound though fine could definitely use some work. Overall though the puzzles felt nice and though very difficult for me it was still fun. (I wish the jetpack would carry over lives.)
I'm glad you found it fun. the reason the jetpack doesn't carry over lives is because of the overarching puzzle of the game
Yeah I understand that but god would the speed boost help when I eventually have to reset.

There were a few things that bothered me, but overall, I found it entertaining. I think there is room for improvement regarding the title, the music, and so on!
glad you found it entertaining. now that you mention the title. I probably should of had the title in the title/start screen, as for the music, if nothing else I'm definetly aware there is a few things I could have fixed.
Nice work, I found the puzzles a little confusing on how to solve but loved the little easter egg
yeh, the first puzzle was quite awkward to come up as 1+1=11 somehow had to be a hint. I don't really remember having any easter eggs in the game but whatever it was, I'm glad you liked that part of the game
Going left and falling off the building! It was the first thing I tried to do and it made me laugh.
ah yeh, I don't remember if it was ever really planned but it was basically one of the first things I added. so instead of figuring out the entire puzzle of how to "beat" the tower or something, I started with the player will go left and shaped the overarching puzzle around that a bit.
Fun Little Chilling Game , Like it
I'm glad to hear you liked it.
