As someone who loves Souls-likes, this game scratched that itch surprisingly well for a jam entry.

I didn’t struggle this much even while playing Elden Ring. The game is definitely very challenging, but I still had a lot of fun playing it. I must have died around 20 times.

The music was absolutely fantastic.

A kill counter on the HUD would be a nice addition.

I think the concept fits the theme very well.

Sometimes I died in a single hit even at full HP. I’m not sure whether that was intentional, but I wanted to mention it.

Thanks for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed the game! We purposely didn't add a kill counter as we wanted players to consciously count how many enemies they took down as part of the theme. As for when you were dying instantly, if you kill more enemies than the portal allows you just die, do you think it might have been that? We definitely should have made it more obvious what the cause of death was in hindsight!

Cool concepts but the controls are super finicky and its hard to attack where you want to attack.

Developer

Noted! Being able to attack in a different direction to the one you're moving in is top priority for future improvements. Thanks for the review!

I like the fast paced arena like gameplay. Really cool take on the count down theme and level progression. Controlling attack direction, it being tide to where you face, like a pseudo tank control was kind a had me confused with where to attack. Overall, really fun game.

Thanks for the review! I agree, we should have given the option to attack in the opposite direction to the way you're moving. I'm glad you enjoyed despite that though!
