Ranked from 14 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

End life plan
After the jam, the game will remain available on itch.io. The source project will be kept as an archive, and an offline downloadable version may be considered in the future when I learn how to do that. At the moment, there are no planned updates or further development.

Transparency note
I used AI assistance as a coding support tool during development. AI was used to help write, debug, and explain parts of the code (as a teacher), but the game design, project setup, scene creation, testing, and final decisions were done by me.

For some reason, I found it really funny that the menu had both "Play" and "Don't Play" options. Naturally, I clicked "Don't Play."

I have to admit... I didn't read the story. I saw a wall of text, and my lazy brain immediately gave up. Sorry! 😭

I don't know if this happened to everyone, but I couldn't move and shoot at the same time; I had to stand still to kill the enemies.

My favorite part of the game is definitely the art; the pixel art is super detailed. Overall, it was a fun little game. Keep making games! :)

That "Don't Play" button was suppose to be the controls/how to play button but since I didn't have time as I restarted making the whole game in the middle of the week I made it like that, I actually thought that people would click it ;)

About the story yes it actually looks too long and very small so I wouldn't question why people don't read it 😅 there was suppose to be something else there but I didn't know how to add it and it was already the last day for submissions.

Yes, I tried to fix that, thing is I created the sprite sheets (idle, shoot, walk, crouch, jump) separately and due to me being new to making games I didn't know how to make the player shoot and walk at the same time.

I am happy that you tried my game and liked the art, thanks! (the art was actually 2D before but then I made it in pixel art, it was hard making pixel art as I had never done it before though)

Thanks for your feedback I am willing to make this game bigger somehow.

This seems to be nice, but I can't move at all, maybe it's my keyboard layout, can you explain what the controls are, so I can give a fair rating?

Thanks! :)

Developer

To move you use the arrow keys. I hope you have fun!

Thank you!

Nice game!

I haven't read the page's description, and I clicked on "Don't play," and the game just closed. Hahaha.

Developer

Hey! Thanks for playing, I actually expected that button to be clicked 😅, that was suppose to be the "how to play/controls" page but I didn't have time since I restarted making the game in the middle of the week.

I am happy that you tried it!

I like the game it really is just simple point a to point b. I feel like it would have been nice to add some obstacles while going to the server room as the jump is pretty much not used, like the art though. Nice job.

Developer

Thank you for trying it out! I am still new to game making and the tight time frame limited what I could add, but I love that futuristic idea. I'll definitely keep it in mind for a future update!

I think the game is pretty fun, definitely something just played a couple times. It could benefit from the ability to make it bigger in some way because of the text being so small. I think the graphics are pretty cool, I like the style of them and if you do work on the game more I think you should stick with this style.

I saw a ton of bugs that mostly appeared when starting the game and also spread throughout gameplay but using space bar got rid of them.

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the art style and had fun playing it.

Also, your comment gave me a huge laugh—when you said you saw "a ton of bugs that spread throughout gameplay," you meant the literal insect enemies, right? 😂 For a second, I thought my code was completely broken! I'm glad the spacebar is working well as a bug-squisher.

I definitely agree about the text size and scaling. I will look into adding a fullscreen option or bigger fonts in the future. Thanks for playing!

Yes, for clarification I was referring to the enemies lol.
