How does your game fit the theme?
Each day, you must survive long enough for a timer to fully count down. Also, you play as a literal count.

DANG this surprised me how addicting the gameplay loop is !! it took me a couple days to figure out how to use my resources the best but once it clicked i was sucked in. the music is awesome too, i love how the breakbeat drums kick in when the round starts, i would love a larger release of this game actually, nice job !!! :D (i rated this during voting time but my account wouldnt let me comment for a while so i saved this to send after my timeout reset LOL)
Thank you!!
thank you! really appreciate it!
I love it it's so tense... Lots of fun ways to abuse the humans' pathfinding, or get messed up by it. The adapting soundtrack is really cool too :D
Thank you :)
My first impression was "omg they can run fast!". And I used my bad habits and did not use the wall as intended until days ~20ish.
This build is already robust and pretty interesting (-> edit: sometimes the peasants bodies remain in the field even though I did not use any weapon and the bats will stay nearby). And in some case, the push back is so powerful the peasants are in fact pushed closer to the castle lol.)
But I was a bit disappointed by the bats, once I used an archer, I found out they only care about 1 target and once it is destroyed, they go back to their spot until they found another one nearby. Knowing this, it can be worked around, though.
Thank you! I wasn't aware of the bats being awkward with archers, thanks for bringing that up.
Well this one is going straight in the "return to after game jam" folder. I really loved this, art, concept, music, the whole package. I'd play this one as an even bigger, more fleshed out game with more towers, pathing options, ideas. Really, really great and I hope you keep working on it or similar tower defense twists.
Thank you so much :D
Well balanced game. I've enjoyed it a lot! It has more depth than I initially thought, which surprised me.
The adaptive music is a delight. It fit's perfectly with the game.
Keep up the good work!
thank you very much! as the musician I very much appreciate the comment on the music
I haven't heard a soundtrack like this in tower defense yet :) I like it!
Good game!
Thank you!
thank you very much :) - the ost author
Had lots of fun playing this! It was nice to come up with some novel strategies (to varying degrees of success!). So glad you included the OST as a download too because it's awesome.
Thank you!!
woah thank you so much! I made the ost. I really apprieciate the praise :)
A Tower defense game that puts the focus on slowing down instead of just killing is such a good idea.
Also a good amount of content for a jam game.
Really well done! I enjoyed playing a lot.
Thank you!!
Damn this was good, the music was nice to go through and the main gameplay loop was great.
It solves as well as the main issue of tower defenses being too spam as many towers or die, but rather here you try to slow them down to get resources. This is somewhat similar to one my old game ideas I've had stashed, and the execution was good.
It's only been one round or session, but I could see myself getting some strategies going in with eco while I push back the hoard as I try to slowly get into lategame with towers...
Its also thematic, count down - the vampire going down, maybe their name is down, the timers is counting down, and your days are numbered....
Overall, great execution. Thank you so much for participating and submitting in the game jam!
P.S. I think the main melody of the game has got me earwormed lol, its well made
Thank you so much!!!! So glad you enjoyed it :D
That's so cool! You had a really interesting idea! I like the style you used
Aww thank you so much!!
