Oh yeah, I see now why this one got rated so high. I can see every little intentional trap set by just the layout of the puzzle. You guys even had the foresight to add a walkthrough for people who might get stuck. Honestly not much more to say then really great work!

Developer

Thank you :D

Got stuck on the level where you needed to get the 3 box in the goal with a purple 4, two 2s, and a 1. But enjoyed myself nonetheless (and probably could have gotten that solution if I came back to it later). The only super minor nitpick was the movement sound, which got a little repetitive and grating after a while. But otherwise really cool use of the theme and very clever puzzles, I liked it a lot!

Thank you so much! Noted, next time we could add a couple more sounds and choose one of them randomly. I did notice many games like Baba is You do that, but we didn't really have time to implement it. By the way, you were 4 levels away from beating the game! You can check the solutions in the video found in the description, if you'd like.

Edit: congrats on being our last rating lmao

Very well designed and thought out puzzle game. Had a great time! Got stuck on the level in the screenshot. Was I far off the end?

There is very little to criticise here. All the mechanics work flawlessly, each puzzle builds on your knowledge of existing mechanics, and the difficulty curve is really good. The art is very pleasant to look at, reminds me of a board game Chameleon.

I guess the only complaint I had was that the grey blocks weren't really explained so it took me a while to figure out what to do with them.

Also, huge number of levels for a Game Jam. Well done! :)

Developer (4 edits)

Thanks so much! The gray blocks were intended to be figured out on your own, since the level that teaches them has very little moving parts but no other possible solution. But I know now that it wasn't clear enough, since you're not the first to point that out. Thanks. Maybe I should've done like I did with the main mechanic, a level that forces you to use them accidentally.

You were very close to the end, you had to solve that level and 2 more. That's where the really hard levels start (we made the last ones thanks to ideas coupled with accidental discoveries, so to be honest I don't think I would be able to solve them if I hadn't made them). You can check the video in the description if you want to see the solutions!

i don't know if it is a glitch for me but there was no audio, however very nice puzzle game !

Developer(+1)

That does seem to be a glitch, and so far no one else has said that they had the same problem. Maybe you could try downloading it (or playing it on web if the audio didn't work on the downloaded version).

Either way, thank you so much!

Interesting puzzles! There's a pretty crazy bug when you rewind, which causes boxes to stay linked even though they're not taped, and even across distances. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to finish one of the later puzzles! Very difficult.

Developer (3 edits)

Yeah, we are aware of it. We don't know what causes it though. The code is very short, so it should've been easy to find, but we spent 3 hours trying to fix it and then gave up. We thought it wouldn't be that bad since it only happens when you undo near metal crates. That's what the warning in the description is about.

Anyway, thank you so much!

PS: There's a video in the description in case you wanna check the solutions for those later levels!

Developer

Thanks!

I thought your puzzles were clever but simple enough for a game jam.

The game worked very well and it was very nicely executed!

Well done! :D

Nice puzzle game. you can definately build upon this for full release.

Developer

Thank you, we might actually do it in the near future!

Love me a good puzzle game. Small critique, maybe have a level indicator somewhere? I was unsure how far I've gotten after a while.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yeah, noticed that too late. We were coding and making levels from 5pm to 10am, so let's just say we were a bit tired...

Absolutely delicious twist on the block pusher forumla, very creative and some clever puzzles! thouroughly enjoyed my time, couldnt figure out the first level with a gray 4 block, and also the gray block could have used a tutorial popup or a scissor icon or something. but overall 10/10. package it up and sell it for 2 dollars on steam

Developer

Thanks so much! We actually liked this one a lot, so we might continue it in the future!

Neat puzzle game, got to the level shown on the 5th screenshot before I got stuck. Music is really nice, and the game itself is one of the most creative interpretations of the theme I've seen so far!

Thank you so much!
