LOL, finally I found a game that looks like mine!
I had trouble moving around and figuring out the controls, but it seems like a nice attempt. I wish I had a mouse to actually play better.
Hey, that would 100% be it - missing a mouse for this game would make it almost impossible to finish - and very frustrating too. Honestly I dont even know if the touchpad would let you turn camera. And if you played it on phone or something it would be most likely impossible. Sorry if that was the case for you.
Control scheme is basicaly same as every other 1st person game that's why didn't even write it anywhere maybe I should have in case people are new to genre or something - will think about doing that for next time
Mouse for looking around
WSAD for movements
SHIFT for sprint
SPACE for jump
ESCAPE for going in and out of menu
Cool Game, I loved the art and the movement was really fun. It was hard, but I enjoyed learning to master the level and the movement :)
Hi, I'm very happy you enjoyed the game!
Hi!
I really like the movement feel of this. Its a great feeling first person platformer.
One thing I would to to make it even better, is using a decal to project a drop shadow, so you better know where you will land.
Also the moving platforms at the end. I thought it was weird that I didn't move with them.
I loved the footstep sound! It sounded so hilarious to me somehow. Like someone in a cartoon franticly cleaning up before the parents come home.
I beat the game with 24 seconds left!
Thanks for uploading I had fun :)
Hi, thank you very much for playing the game. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
About the platforms, it's something I wanted to fix up but run out time to do so. I will try to patch it after the jam is over.
The decal to project a drop shadow sounds very interesting, I will look into it and see what I can do.
About the sound - it did it's job perfectly then! You are playing as a little imp/goblin being left to look after your masters lab. But one of the masters experiments went wrong and the lab will explode soon as result.
I am so bad at this, I always die, but nice game!
Thank you for playing and liking the game!
And don't worry about dying. I died so many times after finishing the game. :D The game is deliberetly hard since it's short and I wanted you to able to master the level. One of my friends got to exit with 30 sec left which I thought almost the limit but there might be time that is even better.
I remember your last game from the last game jam. Glad to see you still at it.
I didn't finish this one because my character wouldn't stay on the end back and forth platforms. It was too annoying to get the red and blue vials and die cheaply at the end over and over. But I did spend a good amount of time trying.
Also once you grab the purple vial, make the red death wall go invisible to indicate to the player he is on the right path. I got confused at first when the death wall was still there.
Heyooo I'm so happy you remember my game and that you played the new one!
As to the 2 things you are talking about are thing I run out of time to adress. The character controller doesnt stick to the platform. And blue and red potions bug out - sometimes they disappear sometimes they don't also an hour before submitting they started teleporting and performing their animation of the map. :D
As you can tell i don't have too much experience with animation and will work on fixing that in the future.
