I got to experience your game through your stream, that was a fun way to see it. The music and SFX are really good.
The bit that got me was blowing the Count’s hair right off and then him powering up like Goku, that escalation is the best joke in there. Nice touch too that the bubble count sits along the bottom the whole time, watching that number drop is the theme right there without anyone needing to explain it.
Did you have a particular part that was your favorite to design?
Thanks, I'v really enjoyed design the count's poses with some funny reference
Super fun concept with whimsical art and satisfying gameplay!! I didn't expect or understand the spiky bubbles at first, but I think the concept of special mini-bubbles with their own functions is a good concept to have-- I can imagine this idea taken to the max, with a ton of differently-coloured bubbles all having different effects. Very funny and satisfying lol
Nice music, was one of the best parts for me! Was clear what I had to do and felt pretty satisfying! I also liked all the fun little dialogue bits and was overall a very creative interpretation of the theme! Sadly my fingers were taken down before I could take down the Count (they still hurt, by the way).
The only complaint I have is that there are SOME bugs. Like for example one time I lost and got returned to the menu but couldn't click on anything anymore. But otherwise it played fine.
Petit jeu bien sympa avec une bonne dose de juice pour vous encourager à éclater toutes les bulles !
I loved the count's art, especially his different poses they kept making me laugh when a new one showed up.
The gameplay was very simple but satisfying, reminded me of the old bubble wrap popping simulators but juiced up. I think the "special bubbles" maybe could have done more to differentiate themselves gameplay-wise, it didn't feel like I had to treat them any differently than the first click big one it explodes into lots of different ones.
Music went TOO hard. This isn't a criticism.
Great job!
Yes, I completely agree regarding the different bubbles. Unfortunately, we only really figured our gameplay loop late in the jam, and while I knew we needed to have unique effects that would create interesting decisions for the player (instead of just pop the bubble asap), we didn't really have time to iterate and tune properly. But maybe in a post-jam version!
