Oh that must have been it, yes I didn't know shooting would bring me upwards! And I'm sorry I didn't see the reply until now. I'm not really quite sure why I was dying; it was on the second-to-last platform at the end of one of the levels, I can't quite remember which but I want to say 3-5. Every time I would walk to the end of the platform or try to jump to the red next level thing I would die. Eventually I got past though and I honestly can't tell you why.
