The sword has great game feel, it feels satisfying. If you have time could you rate ours too? We’ll likely get vote count point deduction (:

Great is the word I will use

very nice game

Such a great game, I would probably pay for it, if it had a few more features. I really love the bigger sword upgrade when stacked I also love the shader. Well polished, great job! :)

Developer

Thanks! I only had a day and a half to make this game, so I'd love to add more features. I'll update it once the game jam is over.

Is this game complete? Man, it’s really well-made and polished, extremely fun. I’d say that if you made a mobile version and released it on the Play Store, people would definitely buy it. Congratulations.

Developer

Thanks! I made it move slightly based on the mouse movement, so it's difficult to recreate the experience perfectly on mobile. But I'll give it a try! Thanks for the feedback!

High key if you adapt it for android I would install it to play in my phone

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I haven't optimized it for mobile yet, but I'm using Android too, and I was able to play it by tapping.

nah thats crazy then could you add the file to download it on mobile

Developer

Sorry about that! The current version was built for browsers. I'll see what I can improve in a future update, but a fully mobile-optimized version might not be possible due to the game's design.

Damn it's very amazing game! The game is super polished, love the artstyle and effects. Feels like a full game, pretty much for 2 days, great job!

Pretty cool game. I like the animations and graphics. The gameplay is engaging — it's addictive to fight off waves of enemies. However, I think the sound could use some work. Other than that, great job!

The game feels great, the style and effects are cool
I think when you just starting the game and have no upgrades, gameplay feels unresponsive (everything is delayed, speed is not easily maintained). This feeling disappears when you get a bunch of buffs though...

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The game includes upgrade mechanics, so movement and abilities might feel a bit weak at the beginning.

pretty impressive, i wish theres music but hey great job overral, a bit laggy on my setup but not badly that it bothers the gameplay.

Cool game i really like the mechanic

The game was really polished. I loved the sound design, the pixel art, and the VFX.

However, I do have a few suggestions

  1. The sword attack feels a bit delayed. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not.
  2. It would be better if the trail merged together when making a full circle (like slashing and closing the loop). I think it would also make combo attacks feel even cooler.

Also, I found a funny interaction:

  1. If I keep my cursor still and just scroll, the character keeps looping in place. I guess scrolling is treated as an input like clicking, so instead of clicking, I can just scroll.

Thanks for the feedback!

The scroll thing is intentional — it only moves you a little. I tried a version where the character follows the mouse, but clicking as the main input ended up being more fun, so I went with that.

As for the sword delay, I'm not sure exactly which part you mean, but it might come from how the attack works — the trail you leave while dashing is the sword, so the hit comes from the movement itself rather than a swing. That might be what makes it feel slightly delayed. I'll take a closer look at it.

The idea about the trail merging when you close a full circle is a really good one. I'll give it a try when I update the game. Thanks for playing!

This is a really good game; I never would have thought it was possible to create something of such high quality in such a short time

Developer

Thanks! It was my first time making a game in Godot, and it took me about two full days. I'm seriously sleep-deprived now...
