I introduced my kid to this game just a couple days ago and since then I’ve been begged to play cat again and again every single day. We have already played the hell out of this to the point where I had to hack it to keep things fresh, like escaping from different rooms or trying different animals.

Depending on the traits and items you roll, the game can be very easy (making motivation abundant) or very hard. A cat with stubby legs and one orange brain cell isn’t gonna do very good against… anything really. Roll a bunch of large fixtures for items too and you’re pretty much locked in. And that is my one criticism. It can be a bit imbalanced, but I just work around that by omitting negative modifiers where I see fit or by making up rules for helping each other with wrecking things.

TL;DR: not perfectly balanced but the kid and I love it
