Time to get the chat going!
Let's keep all communications on itch.io since folk are from different forums, socials, and discord groups - so it would be best to have everyone on the same boat rather than updating everyone on different platforms.

Feel free to make teams, have a lovely chat, and share some videos or pics of older projects.

8 days to go, 8 days to set things up and chill. <3

More details will be given later this weekend ^-^

Hello. I'm ready to see what awesome projects people have been putting their hard work and precious time into to make come true. Trust and believe, I'm one of them. Even though I wont have a finished product this go around, I'm anxious to see what others are working on.

Yoooo, This is my first ever jam. How does this work?

Ayo! A game jam is basically a challenge to make a fun, functional game within a tight deadline. For this one, the main rule is to use the Blender Game Engine.

The theme will be announced a day ahead of schedule so no one gets a head start. After the jam ends, everyone uploads their game and votes on their favorites. BGMC tradition dictates that the winner gets to host the next one!

Since this is your first jam, feel free to ask around and team up  -it's not mandatory, but it makes the jam a lot more fun and manageable :))

Hello everyone.

I've been using Blender for over 10 years. I've been away from the industry for a long time due to carpal tunnel syndrome in my wrist. I used the Blender game engine for many experimental projects and really enjoyed it.

When I saw this event, I thought I'd be making a mistake not to participate, and although I'll be able to join from the beginning of next week, I'm participating to do something here.

I'll probably try to do something alone because I'm having trouble organizing things these days, I have a language barrier (because I forget spoken foreign languages very quickly), and it's very frustrating for me to not be able to meet the deadline for someone I've promised. Therefore, I'll probably only put together a very small project, but oh well.

Thanks in advance for the event.

https://denizege.tr/sketchfab these are a few small, lighthearted projects I uploaded a while ago. They're not that great, but at least they give you an idea.

Ayo!   Sad to hear you stepped away from the industry -  this jam is vibes and funtimes only, not a stress yourself out situation :))   Take your time, make what you can and hang out of the BGE community.   And don't worry about the language barrier, Ai is practically made for that.

Hello there :3 . I'm just a artist trying my hand at game dev for the first time.  I've been trying to learn the bge(s) for a while now.  Here's just something a simple  i've done. https://x.com/i/status/1931494983896371649

Hi everyone! I'm new to game development
and have little experience with the game engine,
but I'm excited to try creating a game for a game jam

Yooooo, Blender user here for some years now but a different game industry... board games :D I loooove UPBGE and would love to make a game. Trying to make a Atena game, a top-down survival horror about rescuing my dog, for some years now :/ First game jam and hopefully first delivered project!  Good luck, everyone!
