Goo cleaning items are planned, but getting goo to block off corridors or doorways in general is an intended feature.
As goo slimes you need to find Goo-Mat to revert. By default the machine has 25% chance of being set to reversion. But once you know that, you can first go there as a human or most creatures, change settings to reversion, and then come back as a slime. The other 75% chance is spread between 3 inanimate objects. Inability to use items, pick them up, and use hands in general, is intended for them.
