Wasn't expecting Salvage Union, but mechs are always a welcome surprise! Really like how you interpreted the title into a rich setting, with interesting setpieces and fun NPCs.
The layout is clean and accessible and the map is well thought-out. The only minor thing I'd prefer is if the Map was the first thing visible, so It is a bit clearer at a glance what is going on, but that is just my preference. This slaps harder than Bright Noa.
Thanks for the review! I've noticed other submissions putting their maps on earlier pages or accompanying location details, which is great for context, so I'll definitely be making a note of that for future work I put out.
I love the layout, there's no wasted space at all and it's super easy to read through. The setting is really cool too and feels self-contained enough that you could drop it into any existing campaign. I can't put my finger on why, but I like the map design at the end, its just a good map. Overall, awesome!
Thanks! I've got zero artistic talent, so scrapping the map together was somehow the most challenging part—but it ended up being a lot of fun!
Hits the theme very well. The layout is clean and bold and the writing is on point. The whole setting makes sense and feels like an actual place. Well done!
I was stuck on properly getting the writing started for awhile, but then I found an excellent style guide for the system and the creative groove finally set in! This is my first published adventure, so I'm glad to hear I managed to get something cohesive together. Appreciate the review.
Oooh Salvage Union - I've been meaning to try this. Maybe I'll start here. Nice, clean presentation and the locations feel big enough for mechs to stomp around in.
Thank you! It's an excellent game I highly recommend! When I first heard of an 'OSR Mech Game' I didn't think that'd work, but SU pulls it off well. The mech crafting has some nice customization to dive into, but the rest of the game is surprisingly straightforward to run. The 'Tough Choice' mechanic in particular is something I've pulled for inspiration to use in other games.
I absolutely adore the scifi theming here. The map is cool, rich npc statblocks, and the whole adventure is just fun. Awesome stuff!
With the assigned title being a funky sci-fantasy film, most of the time spent on this went into considering how to mold its narrative beats and themes into something that'd fit into a sci-fi mech game—so I'm relieved to hear that landed well! Thanks for the rating.
